Chapter 2

(Alex's POV)

Alex sighed as he entered the town cemetery, trudging to his father's grave. He stopped in front of the headstone and stared at it, and after a moment he choked with guilt. Just like all the other times he visited. He knew that Luna had killed him with the help of her pack. And he had blamed Anjela.

"I'm so sorry Dad." He whispered, "I'm so sorry. It's my fault you're dead. I should have been home instead of goofing off with Luna."

"You should be sorry."

Alex froze. He knew the voice all too well. When Alex turned around, he saw his father standing behind him, a hard look in his green eyes. He was wearing a brown suit with a red tie, and his brown hair was freshly combed.

"D-Dad?"

"You should be sorry." He repeated, his expression remaining the same.

"B-But I am sorry. I feel even more guilty every day that you're not here."

"You should be sorry." He said again.

Before Alex could say anything else he vanished into thin air, and when he did, he noticed he wasn't at the cemetery anymore. He was now standing in Luna's living room, and in the kitchen doorway stood Leslie, the girl who was Luna's school friend and also the girl who had freed Alex. The brunette teen had on a blue crop top and a darker blue skirt, and her ocean blue eyes glittered with betrayal and hurt.

"I was only trying to help," she cried, "and you killed me."

"I know you were." He breathed, his chest tightening with fear, "I didn't have control."

Why am I seeing dead people?

"Then why did you kill me?" she asked, a tear rolling down her cheek.

"I-I just told you! I didn't have control."

The room began to swirl, and when everything stopped, he noticed he was in a snowy meadow, and he looked down to see that a revolver was in his hand. He then realized what was going on and fear struck in him. It was happening all over again.

A black wolf with green eyes appeared in the meadow, sprinting away from the forest. A glowing green crystal hung around its neck, and after a moment the wolf stopped, perking its ears.

No. No. No.  he thought as he brought his hand up to aim the gun.

Alex tried to stop, but it seemed his arm had a mind of its own. As his fingers brushed on the trigger, he squeezed his eyes shut. And to his horror he heard a loud clap, which was shortly followed by a shriek of pain. He opened his eyes again to see his sister in wolf form, laying on the ground lifeless.

"You're a monster." A voice came from behind him.

He spun around to Anjela in her human again, and behind her was Leslie and his father, all giving him a death glare.

They all looked different this time. Anjela had a bullet hole in the left side of her chest, blood oozing from it and onto her clothes. His father's suit was now covered in dark scarlet stains, and his face had claw marks scratched across his eyes. Leslie had a gash that went across her stomach and throat, blood pouring from them, a pool of It surrounding her feet.

"You're a monster." Anjela repeated, her voice laced with venom.

He just stood there, staring at them with terror pulsing through him.

"You're a monster." She and her father said in unison once more, and Leslie joined in.

"You're a monster."
