*Harry’s POV*

I didn’t know that waking up next to Ellie after making love was what I’ve always wanted until it actually happened. I was still in shock and reveling in the ways I got to touch her, her rose petal skin covering mine. It was something fools like me only dreamt of. And what I said to her after was something that just came to me; right after it just dawned on me that this was turning into something more than an affair. I definitely could fall in love with this woman. But she didn’t say anything back, could she had fallen asleep and not have heard me say it? Maybe that would have been for the best. I would have to ignore those thoughts, they would only make me regret saying that to her, not for my sake, but for hers. I played with her manicured hand laid across my chest, tracing my fingers over her soft skin. I wondered what she was dreaming about. She began stirring awake, her eyes fluttering open as she snuggled closer to me.

“Good morning.” she smiled.

“Morning.” I turned to face her. She looked so beautiful in the morning.

“What do you wanna do?” she sat herself up and put her hair into a less disheveled ponytail. What could we do today? I didn’t really wanna go out or anything and the way she looked wrapped in my sheets was something I couldn’t give up.

“I don’t really want to go out.” I sighed.

“Good, I don’t either. How about we stay in bed?”

“That sounds perfect.” laying in bed with her all day actually sounded like the best thing I’ve heard in a long time. She rested her head back against the pillow and laid close enough for our noses to touch.

Time was lost as we talked. A yearning for her voice grew as she continued talking, going on and on about stories from her childhood, probably being meaningless little tales to her, but so much more to me. She would finish a story and smile up at me, waiting for me to share one of my experiences, and being the selfish man I am, I would think up a quick and easy story just to get to her’s faster.

I glanced at the clock for a brief moment to check the time and noticed it was already almost midnight.

“What time do you have work tomorrow, babe?” I kissed her forehead.

“At eight, but I have to wake up at six if I want to make it.” I laughed as she groaned.

“I’ll drive you.” She gave me a thankful smile.

“You don’t have to-”

“I want to, now hush.” I pressed my index finger to her lips, enjoying her shocked expression. Her tongue darted out as I pulled away in a gesture making her resemble a small child.

I woke up to an almost bare, completely wet Ellie this morning. All she had was a fluffy white towel wrapped around her as she brushed out the knots in her hair and looked around the room for something, another towel for her soaking hair I would guess.

“Is it my birthday?” I stretched my arms over my head, still admiring how heavenly she looked this morning. She finally turned to me, her frustrated frown immediately turning up into a smirk.

“You seem happy this morning.” she padded over to my side of the bed, giving me a peck.

“Well there are a lot of things to be happy about.” she patted my cheek and went off to finish getting dressed.

I watched as she ran back and forth between the bathroom and bedroom, looking for everything she needed for the day. I appreciated the skirt she decided to wear today, hugging her hips in the best way, and that black blouse that I haven’t seen before but made a mental note to tell her to wear more often. She slipped on her shoes, already wearing her coat.
