*Harry’s POV*

I gripped her hips and held her against me as soon as she landed in my lap, receiving a  devilish smile before leaning in for a kiss. I played with the ends of her hair as our kiss grew longer, and more forceful. The way our hips moved together made me forget everything that was going on and forced me to let out a low groan as she grinded into my lap. Much to my dismay, she pulled away and got off my lap.

“Where are you going?” I whined. I tried to grab her and bring her back into bed, but she was too fast.

“I have to go say goodbye and take him to the airport.” She laughed at my grimace. Ellie began to put her coat and shoes on and I got up to take her back home.

The car ride wasn’t laid with the blanket of tension like the car ride coming here was, but nonetheless we still felt a bit of awkwardness due to the situation; I was taking her to go say bye to ‘boyfriend’ before he left town and she got to stay with me. It might be a little fucked up but I didn’t need to think about that; I needed to plan out how I’m going to spend most of my hours with this woman.

“Want me to just drive you to the airport?” I asked, breaking the silence

“No, I can’t ask you to do that. Just take me home and I’ll find a way there.” she protested; of course she did. She probably didn’t want to put me in the awkward situation of seeing her and Connor having an intimate moment, and though probably a good idea, I couldn’t help myself. I wanted to see him. For some twisted reason I wanted to see the man she left every night to spend those nights with me, and the man she sidelined me every morning for. Most of all I needed the reassurance that it wasn’t the same for them as it was for us; that maybe her and Connor weren’t the couple that her and I could be.

“I’m taking you.” I said while passing her house. She hit my shoulder playfully, just making me smile. God she was something else.

As I pulled up to the airport I noticed a clean cut man, checking his watch and smoothing back his hair. He reminded me of those news guys, tacky looking and the fakest smile you’ve ever seen. I looked over at Ellie and noticed her attention focused on him. I parked so that Connor could not see us and stared at the steering wheel as she left the car. I watched as Ellie made her way towards to man, her head down and shoulders tense.

I continued to watch them talk, hands clasped together. A pang of jealousy shot through me, and I wanted to leave, but I couldn’t do that; I wouldn’t do that. They talked for what seemed like hours, holding hands and smiling. What the hell was so funny that they had to laugh every minute? Why was I even getting this worked up about it, obviously this would happen; I am the one who set myself for this. I wanted her with me instead of all the way over there with him; his smug ass smile was annoying me immensely, like he fucking knew I was here and hating every second that his hands were on her.

One more tight hug and peck, then she was back to the car. I said nothing to her as we finally drove away; I was hurt and I know it sounds stupid, but I was. I couldn’t help but feel like I just witnessed her cheating on me, when in fact, he is the one being cheated on. Her head rested against the glass and I could already feel us shutting each other out.

“Can I still go back to your place?” she finally said as we neared her apartment.

“If you want to.” I shrugged, not taking my eyes off the road.

“You know I do...” her voice broke my heart but that didn’t stop the feeling of needing to scream at the top of my lungs and demand a reason why she would do that; she knew I was watching.

I didn’t answer her, instead I turned on the radio to hopefully drown out my jealous thoughts as we drove back to my apartment.
