Sometimes I wonder

What would have happened,

If I hadn't met you that night.

If you guys ended up

In a different restaurant

On a different time, other than our dinner date.

Or if she buys her coffee

At Starbucks, instead of that

Crappy old coffee shop he always goes to.

Or if my asthma picks another time

To make me get up and breathe.

Or if you hadn't chosen that time

To go and take your niece out for ice cream.

You'd probably have kids with her by now.

And I would've probably be engaged to him.

And we would have probably lost our chances

Of meeting our one true love. If there is such a thing.

And just like Robin Scherbatsky once said, "If you have chemistry, you only need one other thing. Timing. But timing's a bitch."
