Chapter 10-If you hurt her I will hurt you

Robert’s POV

We had been talking for an hour about going to Bristol and I really need a piss. Marianne was sat on my lap because there wasn’t a place for Tom to sit. I whispered to Marianne. “Babe can you get off me please, I really need to go to the toilet”. She stood up and I quickly walked to the restroom. Once I was finished I walk out and someone grabbed my arm and dragged me round the corner.

"What the fuck" "Rob shut up". I know that voice. I looked at the person and it was Kiera. " Kiera what the fuck are you doing" "I wanted to talk to you in private" "what is so important that you had to grab my arm and drag me from going back to my girlfriend" "I wanted to talk to you about Marianne" "ok I’m listening"  "Do you know that Marianne has had a bad past" "Yes I know" "what do you know about her past" "I know that her dad committed suicide, I also know about herself harming" "did she tell you why she did it" "sort of" "what do you mean sort of". I feel like this is an interrogation. "wait before I answer that question, what do you know about her past" "most things because I was there for most of it" "ok"  "so what did she tell you about the self harm thing" "erm she said that when her dad died people found out how he died and they started basically bullying her about it which led to the self harm and she said you helped her to stop" "ok so she told you the simpler version of the story" "what do you mean simpler version" "well you know that her dad committed suicide, that was the day she changed... That day was a Friday, we had gone to school that day and had some laughs, she said she was looking forward to going home because her dad had something planned". I'm not sure if I want here what happened but if I knew maybe I could find a way to help her. "But when she got hone or what she used to call home, she walked through her front door to find a note, a note explaining that he was leaving her and her mother but also that he loved them both. She then decided to go and get the phone to tell her mum about the note and what was written on it, but as she walked into her kitchen she saw the body of her dad laying their on the floor with a bullet in the side of his head and a gun beside him". I put my hand over my mouth. "Oh my god, she found her dad dead, that is horrible" Kiera sadly nodded. "Not long after the school was informed about it and some students somehow found out, and Scott found out" Just the mention of his name makes my blood boil.  "He made it a living hell for her, that’s when the self harm comes into it. Once I found out I tried to help her as best as I could, she had stopped talking to people. If they would talk to her she would just stay silent, it took a year to get her to talk to anyone. A year after that she was talking a bit and If someone asks her if she is ok she would always says yes until she met you, she talks to you about her past" "wait she never talked about her past till she met me" "yep" "is that a good thing or a bad thing" "it is a good thing because it means she is opening up and talking to people instead of bottling it up for ages, so if you do anything to hurt her I will kill you do you understand" "if hurt her in any way you will kill me. Understood" "good now go back to your girlfriend and make her happy" I practically ran back to Marianne, I won't admit it to anyone but Kiera scars me and I know if I did do anything to hurt Marianne she will kill me. I just can't believe how people treated her even after they knew what happened, that is just horrible. How can they do something like that?

Marianne's POV

We were all still talking about what we wanted to do when we get to Bristol and Rob whispered " Babe can you get off me please, I really need to go to the toilet”. Once Rob had left to use the restroom I saw Kiera get up and walk towards the restroom. They had been gone for about 20 minutes. I hope Kiera isn't giving him the talk. You know the one 'you hurt her, I will hurt you' talk. Kiera can be a very scary person when it comes to the protection of people she cares about. Not long after, Rob came back, but he was jogging. Then I saw Kiera walking behind him, yep I think she gave him the talk. Great.
