        "Stevie? Are you there?" I called from the entrance of the apartment.

I grabbed the bag that I placed by the door, while I was taking off my coat, and walked into the kitchen. I poked around the corner and was met with a man's back.

"Bucky?" I asked. The man turned around and smiled. "Linny, why are you here?" He asked.

I set the bag on the table and turned to him. "I was told Steve was sick, so where is he?" I asked.

"He's in the living room, what's in the bag?" He asked. "Medicine for Steve and some other things I picked up," I rummaged through the bag.

Suddenly a loud cough came from the room opposite from us. I walked into the room to see a small form sitting on the couch in a mountain of blankets.

"Hey Stevie, how are you feeling?" I asked, kneeling in front of him.

"Like death," He sniffled.

I sat next to him and pulled him into my side, smoothing his hair back. I placed my hand on his forehead checking his temperature.

"Steve, your burning up!" I exclaimed. "Did you give him anything? I turned to look at Bucky, who shook his head no.

I may love Bucky, but he can be a ditz sometimes, but maybe that's why I love him. I got up off the couch and walked into the kitchen, grabbing my bag, and heading back into the living room. I grabbed the bottle of medicine I bought.

"Here, take this Steve," I handed him a spoonful of the medicine.

He downed it and grimaced afterwords. He handed me the spoon back and rubbed his eyes. I sat down next to him, so he could lay his head in my lap. He laid his head in my lap and instantly fell asleep. I yawned as Bucky sat down beside me.

"Did you sleep at all Lindy?" He asked. I shook my head no and proceeded to lay my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around me and pulled me closer to him.

"Did I tell you that you look beautiful today?" Bucky mumbled into my head. I snuggled my head deeper into his chest, hoping he wouldn't see the blush that crept onto my face.

"I mean it and I know your blushing," Bucky whispered into my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Can you guys fondue when I'm not present," Steve groaned and turned to look up at me. Bucky let out a loud laugh and ruffled Steve's hair.

"We weren't doing anything, go back to sleep" I kissed his forehead, as I laid my head back onto Bucky's shoulder.

All three of us instantly fell asleep, not knowing that, that was the last time we ever did that again.

December 8th 1941, 2 years later

"I need to enlist Lindy!" Bucky exclaimed as he walked towards the door.

We were just talking about the attack on Pearl Harbor that happened the day before, when Bucky brought up the idea of enlisting.

"Bucky, you can't!"

"Why can't I?"

"I don't want you to leave me," I whimpered. "Why does it matter?" He asked, turning towards me.

"Because I love you!" I shouted.

I walked away from him, only to be pulled into his chest, staring directly at his eyes. He started to lean in, causing my breath to come to a stop. I closed my eyes and met his plump, pink lips half way. The kiss was beautiful. I wanted to savor every moment, but there is this thing called breathing. I pulled away to catch my breath and looked up at Bucky, his blue eyes bore into my hazel eyes.

"Um, I would take that as you like me?" I asked.

Bucky chuckled and rubbed his neck. "I've liked you for a long time," He caressed my cheek, "but I never knew how to tell you,"

"Well" I stood on my tippy toes and whispered into his ear, "you can show me,"

Bucky's eyes widened, as I winked at him and dragged him into my bedroom.

March 10th, 1942

"Lindy, why am I blind folded?" Bucky laughed, his arms out stretched in front of him.

"Because!" I grabbed his wrist, "It could ruin the surprise!"

"Okay, you can take the blindfold off!" I smiled and helped him untie the piece of cloth.

Sitting in front of him was a . Bucky looked at the puppy in shock and then turned towards me. He picked me up and kissed me hard on the lips. I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Doll, I can't believe you got me a dog!" Bucky set me down and ran towards the dog. "What's his name?" Bucky asked picking the small puppy up.

"He's your dog, Buck, you get to name him," I stood beside Bucky and placed my hands on his shoulders.

"He looks like a Rufus," Bucky nuzzled his nose into the dog's fur. "Rufus!" I laughed, "That's so cute!"

We spent the whole day playing with Rufus. It would be a memory that I would cherish for the rest of my life.

December 24th, 1942

I shivered under my many layers of clothing, as I walked up the steps of Bucky and I's apartment. I unlocked the door and stomped the snow off my boots.

"Doll?" Bucky asked.

"Yeah?" I answered, setting down the bags of groceries I bought. Bucky emerged from the living room with Steve and Rufus close behind him.

"Stevie!" I hugged his small frame. "Hey" He hugged me back.

"Since your here, you can help me bake cookies!" I exclaimed.

"Okay!" Steve smiled.

"Let's get started!" I dragged the two men into the kitchen.

~~~~~~
"Bucky!" I exclaimed, "Stop eating the batter!". I swatted his hand away, as he put it into the bowl for a third time.
"I can't help it, Doll" He licked his finger, "It's really good!"
"Quit being a kiss up and go help Steve make the frosting" I kissed his nose.
He pecked my lips, some of the batter still on his lips. "You're right" I smiled, "it does taste good"
~~~~~~

All three of us sat on the couch, under millions of blankets, watching Christmas movies. I leaned my head on Bucky's shoulder, his arm instantly wrapping around my shoulder. I looked up at him and smiled.

"Merry Christmas, Bucky" I kissed him.

"Can you guys not kiss in front of me," Steve gagged.

"I'll share the love," I pecked Steve's cheek, his face instantly going red. I laughed and hugged him.

"Merry Christmas, boys!" I pulled both of them into a tight hug.
