          "Bucky, Lindy, look this way!" I looked up from my plate of food, to see Peggy with the video camera.

I smiled and waved, earning a chuckle from Bucky. He turned towards me and pulled me into a kiss.

Peggy turned the camera off and frowned at Bucky, "Keep it clean,"

They ate peacefully, before Steve cleared his throat, gaining our attention. "Buck, we need to get ready to leave" He looked up at Bucky.

"We don't need a repeat of what happened last week," I grumbled.

"I turned my head to answer Steve's question, so blame Steve not me" Bucky scoffed.

Steve put his hands up in defense, earning laughs from the three of us. After eating, Steve and Bucky leave, leaving Peggy and I, sitting outside watching the soldiers.

"So what's the plan for today?" She asked, fixing her sunglasses.

"Well, I have work, but other than that, nothing" I took a sip of my drink.

"We should do something" She looked at the soldiers who were running.

"Like what?" I turned to look at her.

"Well, isn't it almost your birthday?" She shifted her sunglasses down to look at me better.

"How wo-"

"I read your file,"

"Of course you did" I scoffed, making her chuckle.

"I could ask Stark to let us use his car for a much needed girl's day" She smiled.

"Wouldn't we get in trouble?" I asked.

"Psh, no" She scoffed, "we are winning the war, they don't care what we do now"

"I'll take off work and we can go into town" I sighed.

"Perfect!" She clasped her hand together, "I'll go to talk to Stark, and we can meet back here, okay?"

I nodded and got up and headed towards the nurses tent, expecting to see a couple of nurses, but there were none. I grabbed a pen and paper and started writing a note to the other nurses that I couldn't work today. I left the note on the table and walked back to our meeting place. Peggy was standing there waiting for me.

"Ready?" She place her sunglasses on her head.

"Let's go" We walked to the gate, making sure no one was looking and walked out of the base.
~~~
"So what're we doing in town?" I asked Peggy.
"Oh, well" Peggy thought for a moment, "I was thinking we could go do some shopping and grab some lunch"
"Peggy, I don't have any money with me" I protested.
Peggy smiled and reached into the glove department, pulling out a credit card. I gasped and took the credit card in my hand looking it over.
"Where did you get this?"
"Stark said to buy ourselves something nice, but not to max his card"
"Remind me to thank Stark when we get back"
Peggy parked the car at a boutique and we headed inside. I gasped at all of the dresses and shoes. "This one would look great on you, Lin" Peggy held a yellow dress up to me.
I took the dress and walked to the dressing room, Peggy following me. I stopped when I saw a white dress, grabbing it instantly. Peggy went into a dressing room ,while I went into the other one. I slipped the yellow dress on, frowning at the sight of it. The yellow clashed with my red hair making me look like a rainbow.
"Peggy, the yellow dress is a bust" I pulled the dress off.
I slipped the white dress on and smiled at the sight of it. The dress tied at the neck and flowed to the bottom of my knee. I stepped out of the dressing room to find Peggy standing in blue form fitting dress. She gasped at the sight of my dress.
"Oh my goodness, Lin!" She squealed, "That dress is perfect for you!"
"Peggy, be quiet" I scoffed, "your dress in stunning!"
We turned and observed ourselves in the mirror."Bucky would love to see you in white," Peggy smiled.
"Peggy!" I gasped and hit her in the shoulder.
"It's true!" She defended.
"Wait, what?" I asked.
"I may or may not have overheard Bucky and Steve's conversation" She pursed her lips.
"What did he say?" I asked.
"He said something about proposing one day" She answered.
"Wow, I never thought of getting married to Bucky until now," I smiled.
"Even though I haven't known you for awhile, I can tell you love him and vice versa" She smiled.
"Let's get these dresses and leave" I walked back to the dressing room.
~~~
"You should do something with your hair" Peggy pushed me towards a hair salon.

"What?" I asked.

"As much as I love your long hair," She started, "you should change it up a bit"

"Fine" I huffed and opened the door to the salon.

"Hi, my names Lucinda" A tall blonde smiled, "how can I help you?"

"I would like to get my hair cut," I frowned at Peggy.

"Okay!" She pushed me into chair.

"How short do you want to go?" She asked playing with my waist long hair.

"Shoulders" Peggy chimed in. I turned around and looked at her in shock. She just smiled and started laughing.

"Okay!" Lucinda grabbed a pair of scissors.

Before I could stop her, she cut a whole chunk of my hair off. I stared at the floor in horror, watching my hair float to the ground. Lucinda continued cutting my hair, while Peggy read a magazine.

"You're all finished, hon" Lucinda turned the chair around, letting me look at my hair.

"I" I started,"like it!"

"Good!" Lucinda pushed towards to counter to pay.
~~~
Peggy and I were almost to the center of the base, when Steve and Bucky appeared in front of us.
"There you two are!" Steve exclaimed.
Peggy and I looked at each other in horror before turning to face Steve and Bucky and smiling.
"Where were you too," Bucky asked, before looking at my hair, "Linny did you do something to your hair?"
"Uh" I played with the ends of my freshly cut hair.
"Who let you two leave?" Steve asked.
"Stark" Peggy answered.
"I knew it!" Bucky exclaimed throwing his hands in the air, "Especially when I asked if he had seen you, he screamed in my face, that he hadn't seen you, and slammed the door in my face"
We all just stared at Bucky, before Peggy broke the silence, "Anyway, what did you need?"
"The Colonel needs to see Lindy" Steve frowned.
