"Did Steve and Bucky leave?" I asked Peggy, as I gave her a stack of files.
"Yeah, they just left," She answered, "Why?"
"Nothing" I shrugged, "I"m just worried about them"
Peggy raises an eyebrow, before nodding, and going back to work. I walked back to the medical tent and continued to take care of patients, but I was still worrying about Steve and Bucky.
My thoughts were interrupted, when Steve stumbled in with an unconscious and bleeding Bucky, slung over his shoulders.
"Oh my God" I rushed to him and helped him carrying Bucky to an empty cot.
"What the hell happened!" I shouted.
"H-he was shot in the arm" Steve stumbled over his words.
Bucky groaned and opened his eyes, "Linny?"
"Bucky, we're going to help you, just stay awake" I told him.
"We?" Steve looked at me.
"We," I looked at him, "Steve I need you to grab disinfectant, gauze, medical tape, scissors,and tweezers"
Steve started running around frantically looking for the item, before setting them on the table beside me. "Why do you need tweezers?" He asked.
"How else am I going to get the bullet out" I answered.
"Okay, Bucky, this is going to hurt a little" I warned him before sticking the into his flesh. Bucky screamed and started thrashing around.
"Lindy, stop your hurting him!" Steve shouted
"I need to get the bullet out!" I shouted, "Hold him down,"
While Steve held Bucky down, I continued searching for the bullet. Bucky managed to get his arm free and moved it, causing me to cut my hand on the tweezers.
"Son of a-"
"Language!"
"Now's not the time, Steven" I glared at him.
I managed to get the bullet out of Bucky's arm and started to clean the wound. "I need to go talk to colonel" Steve stood up, "Will he be alright?"
"Sadly" I sighed.
Steve chuckled before walking out, leaving me alone with Bucky. "I'm sorry" Bucky muttered.
"Why are you apologizing?" I looked down at him.
"For making you worry," He frowned.
I finished dressing his wound and started to clean up the mess I had made. I looked over at Bucky, who was peacefully resting, and stared at him for awhile.
"I know your staring at me" Bucky opened his eyes and turned to look at me.
I looked down and started to blush. Bucky chuckled and sat up.
"Come're" He motioned.
I walked towards the cot and sat down next to him, his good arm going around my waist. I closed my eyes, enjoying this moment.
"I love you" Bucky whispered kissing my head.
