Me: (I fought Steamax, took down Affimojas, arrested AnonyDeath, wrecked Arfoire, destroyed and entire SWARM of monsters, beat Warechu and his GODDESS DAMN MEGA EVOLUTION, AND survived a fight against you. I think I can manage). What's so dangerous about this quest?

Vert looked around her.

Vert: *whispered* We can't speak here. Come inside. We'll speak more in my room.

She had a sudden face of fright. Oh boy. She escorted me inside the basillicom which looked beautiful and elegant. Straight out of the disney movie. But I couldn't sight-see. She kept telling me to keep moving. Once we got inside, she locked the door. And window.

Me: *whispers* Is it safe?

Vert: *whispers* It should be.

Vert: ...

Vert: *speaks normally, but still a little quiet* Someone placed a hit on me.

Me: WHAT!?

Vert: SHHHHHH!!!! Not so loud.

Me: *quietly* Sorry. Wait... A hit...? Someone's trying to kill you?

Vert: Yes. And I know who the assassin is: a man named Zachariah.

Me: !!!!

Vert: What? Do you know him?

Me: *angrily* Yeah. I know him.

Zachariah. He was a master assassin with his own syndicate. And our foster dad when Jade and I were together. And the reason why Jade was supposed to kill me. He was always afraid of the two of us sticking together because we could both beat him together. But apart, we were no match. He hated the both of us, because he couldn't control the Game Blade like us. But he could still beat us with no effort. Zachariah is known to never miss a target. If someone hired Zachariah to kill someone, then the mission was an automatic, guaranteed success. Vert must've known this. That must be why she's so afraid.

Vert: Please, Raziél. I know I'm asking you for a lot. But please! Please! Take this quest!

Me: I'll do it.

Vert: What?

Me: I don't back down from a challenge. Especially from Zachariah. If there's a chance to fight that asshole, I'll take it.

Vert: You will?

Me: Yeah.

Vert was so excited that she hugged me. Tightly.

Me: *pants* Goddess! You hug hard!

Me: Well... At least I'm here now.

We heard a knock on the door. Vert got scared and hid behind me.

Me: Relax. It's just Nepgear and Uni.

Vert: Oh.

Nepgear: Yeah. Can you let us in?

Me: Hold on.

I unlocked the door. The girls walked in.

Uni: So... I take it the talk went well?

Me: Yeah... Let's go with that. Look, Vert is in huge danger. Just know that you two have to stay here and keep her company.

Uni: No way! I'm staying with you!

Me: ...

Me: I can't talk you out of this, can I?

Uni: *smirks* Nope.

I was gonna convince her otherwise, but there was really no point.

Me: Fine. Nepgear?

Nepgear: I'll keep her company.

Vert: Thank you, Nepgear.

Me: We'll stay with Vert for now. When the sun sets, Uni and I will have a stakeout on the balcony.
