"NO!!!" Anne screamed. She raced into the house and stood in front of the clown. "A-Anne?" She heard her mother say. "I-is something wrong?" Anne felt a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. It was almost as if...

Almost as if she had never been gone.

Anne turned back to the clown, and said, "Why? Why do you do this? Leave my family alone! It's me you want, isn't it?" The clown grinned, showing it's sharp,  yellow bloodstained teeth. It then pointed the gun to Anne's mother. "A-Anne?!" She heard her mother stammer, "Anne, what has gotten into you? P-put the gun down." Then, all at once, it all came to Anne.

She thinks it's me holding the gun.

This is all in my head. Or worse,

It's all me.

Anne stepped in front of the gun. "Stop!" How could she possibly stop it? It could blow a hole through her at any moment, and there's nothing she could do about it. "Anne yelled behind her shoulder, "Mom! It's not me! It's not me!" At that moment, the clown aimed the pistol over Anne's shoulder and shot her mother right in the head.

Anne's mother fell to the ground, blood quickly pouring out of her skull.

The clown then dissapeared, and Anne found the gun in her own hands. Anne threw the gun across the room, and kneeled down to her mother.

She's dead.

It was me the whole time...

But how? Why were the clowns after her? Anne heard a loud, ear piercing cry. It was her brother. She took her brother in her arms and cradled him, her eyes tearing up. Anne saw blue and red lights flashing in the corner of her eye. The police! Maybe they could help her! Anne was preparing herself to cry to the policemen and ask for help, but...

They turned on her.

An entire SWAT team came crashing in, and they all pointed their rifles at Anne. Was this a dream? No, surely not! It felt so real!

And it was.

Anne gasped when she saw three scary looking men in white rushing towards her. The picked her up from under her arms, and the policemen took her baby brother away from her. "NO!!!!" Anne screamed, kicking and shouting, but it was no use. They had taken her brother away. Anne's mother was dead. Left cold on the floor in a pool of blood. Her brother would be an orphan, living in an orphanage until someone came to take him in. And Anne?

Anne had been declared insane.
