Chapter 36

Third person POV:

After her sight was returned, Kira was told by the new hokage -Tsunade Senju- that she was to avoid any mission above D-rank.

So without much arguing, Kira had to stay in the village and complete basic missions while her team went off and did higher missions -Kakashi- or were in hospital.

After the exams were completed Shikamaru Nara was the genin to be appointed into becoming a chunin. Unfortunately Kira didn't make it on becoming a jounin even though she had won her battle fair and square. With a huff and frown the young Hajime genin continued to pick up the trash the had been littered in a local stream.

"You know Lady Kira, it's nice living here in Konoha. There's no sand flying in your eyes, it's not hot 24/7 and is full of life." Kagami spoke as he leaned against the tree and stood just a few feet from the stream.

Kira remained silent and continued to pick up the rubbish.

"I know that you are planning on leaving Konoha again and you plan on bringing me along with you." He stated which caught Kira off guard.

She swiveled her head in his direction with a deadly glare. "And how did you find out?"  Kagami let loose a hearty laugh and smiled at the leader of his clan.

"So you finally decided to speak with me. I have my ways, I am a member of the Hajime clan of course M'lady" Kira sighed and dropped her rubbish bag and tongs next to Kagami and sat in front of him.

"Who else knows about this?"

"No one, except you and the two people that accompanied you in that room and of course myself. Might I ask why must we leave the village?"

Using her arm to drag a hand through her black locks Kira waited a few seconds before replying.

"Because it isn't safe for us here anymore Kagami."

Kagami knew that if he pushed her into telling him more then he needed to know, Kira will probably end up doing something she'll regret. So he instead nodded and looked away from her.

"Well I suggest we inform Hokage-Sama that we will be leaving for a while."

A scoff escaped the young kunoichi's lips. "Already tried and was declined right after I finished speaking. The lady even threatened to mark us as rogue if we tried to pull a stunt like defecting from the village without permission and will have anbu after us."

"Then I suggest we wait until the time is right, Kira-Sama" Kira only nodded and began walking away knowing that Kagami would be following just behind her.

It wasn't until three to five days later that Kira heard news of Sasuke leaving the village which left caused a longing ache and pain to faintly manifest in her chest.

Knock, knock, knock

Kagami stood from his seat of the table in his now shared apartment with Kira, they had both decided to live together after there talk about leaving the village as both of them believed that is was them against the world. They were being hunted down as time passed, not knowing when or where the day will come until they will be used as a weapon.

"Shikamaru-San." Kagami greeted politely to which Shikamaru sighed and nodded his head in greeting to the Hajime boy.

"Hey Kagami, is Kira here? I need to speak to her if you don't mind." Kagami stepped to the side in order to let the Nara inside. Kagami closed the door and led Shikamaru to where Kira was without a word.
