Chapter 2: Just a dream
I ran to my next class, and tripped once more.
But this time,
I woke up.
I felt my hands shield cross my chest, like I would've done if I tripped in real life.
I sat up with a start and realized I must have fallen asleep in the car.
So everything that happened in the parking lot and in the school was a dream.
I looked at the time and noticed I came early to school, well I still had a half an hour until the bell rings.
Sighing I rested my head against the leather seats of my car.
The familiar scent of sweet mint helped clear my mind. The coldness of the seats felt good against my head.
My breath was shaky as I let it out. What was up with that dream?
I never spared a glance at Aaron before, why did I suddenly take an interest in him today, all of a sudden?
The more I strained my mind to get the answers, the more frustrated I grew.
What was so special about this boy that resulted him in my thoughts?
My head started to hurt with straining too much, so I let it drop, for now.
Wait a minute! If this was all a dream, then Rose never said all those things! Awesome! No awkwardness!
Giving a swift glance at the clock, I opened the door and stepped out into the cool air.
It was a clear day, unusual for winter, but whatever.
The peaking sun shone on me and I squinted, looking around for Mark and Rose.
I saw them, under a bench so I locked my car, and ran all the way across the lot towards them.
They were deep in conversation and didn't notice me.
I only caught snippets of what they were saying.
"Different...Talk...Aaron...Lexi...Why...Impossible"
Those were enough words for me to understand what they were talking about.
It was about Aaron and me!
"Hey guys!" I said as I approached them.
They looked like a kid who was caught stealing a cookie before dinner.
"H-Hey Lexi" Rose composed herself, "What's up?"
"Yeah, how's it going?" Mark said next, sending a nervous glance towards Rose, only confirming my suspicions.
"Oh nothing, just wondering what two of my favorite people in the world are talking about" I said, in a nonchalant voice, with the most innocent expression I could ever compose.
They looked nervous as I plopped down right in between them.
"Oh, you... know... talking...anyways! I see your wearing your necklace again" Mark said in a pathetic attempt to change the subject.
I decided to go along with it, if they wanted to tell me, they would.
Rose glared at him as I answered. "I wear this everyday" I said.
Ok, so not go along with fully, but still, it was still something.
"So, did you hear about the upcoming trip?" Rose brilliantly moved the topic, to save a flushed Mark from more embarrassment.
And that was how the rest of the conversation went, until the bell rang.
On the way to my locker, I could've sworn I saw Aaron wink at me.
But it must have been my silly imagination...right?

Sorry it's super short, but I have a lot of stuff to do, and I have to sell chocolate, to raise money for the senior prom, I have my senior trip coming up and graduation. And so we have a lot of school work. It's tough and I promise to try to write longer chapters.
