Chapter 4: Happy Family

Beep  

Beep

I groaned as the annoying sound entered my senses waking me up.

My head pounded with pain, I was dying for the need of Midol.

I kept my eyes closed and tried falling back asleep, but not even a minute later memories came flooding through my mind.

The talk with Mr. Green, crying in the bathroom stall, running through the halls, driving faster, thinking about dying and mom, Blake, Rose, Mark, more memories came back to me as I realized what had happened.

Car Accident. I got in a car accident.

As the realization dawned on me I finally noticed I was lying in something soft, and there was an annoying beeping in the backround.

There was the smell of alchohol. The smell I would recognize anywhere.

Hospital. Immediately freaking out, I forced my eyes open and immediately shut them when bright lights attacked them.

My head pounded harder but I was far from caring about that right now.

The last time I was in a hospital was when my mom was here. And I swore never to come there again. And because of that, my dream of becoming a doctor vanished.

It was years ago, but hey? No one can ever forget there mom, it doesn't matter if she passed away a day ago, or 30 years ago, everyone loves there mom too much to forget there death.

Including me. Pushing those thoughts away, I opened my eyes again and let my eyes adjust to the light.

Once they did I finally noticed the IV drips on my arms and tons of other wires stuck to different parts of my body.

I didn't want to take them off, since I wasn't sure which one I needed.

For example, one of them was connected to a bag with clear liquid in it.

That was probably because I was dehydrated. Getting in a car accident does that to you, try it out sometime.

Finally deciding to take off the black wire connected to the heart monitor, I listened in annoyance as the monitor silenced into one long beep and then I layed back down and closed my eyes.

Blake's POV (he's her brother)

I sat down with tears streaming down my eyes along with Rose and Mark.

Oh God please let her be ok, she was the only family I had left. I love her. As a sister of course.

The doctor said she was okay and would wake up soon, but that was 4 freaking hours ago!

Letting my head rest against the back of my seat, I let memories flash through my mind.

All about Lexi & me througout our childhood. First steps, playing in the yard, eating, food fights, playing, talking and finally, mom.

I hadn't thought about her in weeks, I wanted to be strong for Lexi.

But that didn't keep me from missing her. And I did a lot.

She was my mom, my loving, wonderful mommy. Who married my bastard of a father. I don't think he deserved to be called that.

If it wasn't for him, mom would still be alive.

More tears fell from my eyes as I thought about mom dying in this exact same hospital. Please let Lexi be okay.

I saw the doctor, Doctor Charles, walking towards Lexi's room and immediately shot up from my seat.

" Doctor Charles, is she okay? What happened?" I asked in a rush.

"Everything is okay, I just need to run a few tests, that's all" He answered calmly.

I relaxed as did Rose and Mark, who I now realized, were right behind me.

But that didn't last for long, because just then I heard one long beep, coming from Lexi's room.

I wasted no time in barging throught her room, only to see her, with her eyes closed, lying down.

I fell to the floor, Rose and Mark followed suite.  

"NO no no! This can't be happening" Rose whimpered behind me.

Tears ran down a stream from my eyes. This cannot be happening to me!

And just then something strange happened. "Who died?" Someone asked.

I looked up to see Lexi staring at us all with amusement clear in her eyes.

Rose was the first to recover from her shock as she attacked Lexi with her killer hug.

"Ouch, Rose" Lexi said with humor evident in her voice.

"Your okay" She breathed and Lexi stared at her for a second before bursting out laughing.

"You dorks thought I was dead" She exclaimed and then burst out laughing again.

I scowled from my place on the floor as well as Mark and Rose.

Getting up I went up to the side of her bed, placed my hands on my hips and scowled at her some more.

"Well, like, excuse us for actually caring about you" I said to her.

That didn't stop her from laughing. What the fuck was she laughing at!?

"You look like our school whore, Candy, with that pose!" She laughed out again.

I looked down at my pose before standing up straight and clearing my throat.  

At this the other two burst out laughing. I scowled some more.

Even the Doctor let out a chuckle. He looked once at the floor, before looking at Lexi in amusement.

The three finally stopped laughing, saved by the doc!

Doctor Charles took one look at our confused faces before bending down and picking up a thin black wire.

Thanks for the brilliant explanation! Please note sarcasm.

At our even more confused faces he chuckled and said "she took off the wire connected to the heart monitor, we couldn't pick up her heart speed."

We burst out laughing at that while Lexi scowled. Typical Lexi.

Don't you just love our happy family?

Hehe, I know it's short, but it's basically a filler.

Not that good but let's you know a little bit about how they express there love for eachother. All four of them.
