Paris made her way back to the temple. Her cloak flapped in the wind as she opened the door to the temple. She saw helen lighting the candles to the room where paris woke up. Her cloak was thrown over a chair. Paris shut the door and unclasped the cloak, placing it with helens. " now what? " asked paris. Helen put out the match in her hand and stood up straight. " well, against your grandfather's judgement, i think it's time you learned how to properly control your dragon spirit " she said. Before paris could speak, helen added " you also need to learn how to use weapons ". Paris nodded her head. Helen walked over to a shelf near the door and pulled out a scroll. She put it on the stone block her grandfather was on. She rolled it out. She beckoned paris to come. Paris walked over, curious on what she was going to see. She looked down on the scroll that was rolled out. " Our way of fighting creatures is by using the all kinds of martial arts " explained Helen, pointing to figures painted on the page in different fighting stances. " you need to learn otherwise you will be completely defenseless against the forces of darkness " said Helen rolling the scroll up and putting it back on the shelf. She grabbed a second scroll and walked back over. When she laid it out, it was like the the page was made directly from the colors of a rainbow. The page was practically see through. 12 people sat on thrones. Well, it was more like animals sat on the thrones. Paris carefully examined the animals. She could almost tell immediately that these animals were of high status, due to the fact that they were sitting on thrones and that they seemed to radiate power from the page. " These are what we call the beast council " explained helen. Helen pointed to a second set of 12 animals standing next to each throne. " These are the guardians, they protect the beast council " she said pointing to a brown bear animal standing off to the right. Paris noticed that the brown bear was shaded a dark grey. " the dark grey means that that guardian is deceased " said helen sadly. Paris found two other guardians that were dark grey. The lion and the falcon. " does the council assign new guardians when an old one dies? " asked paris, standing up straight. Helen stood up straight as well. " yes, but it takes time " she replied bitterly. " Unlike the guardians, the council members are immortal " she added. Paris bent over the scroll again and examined the animals sitting on the throne. Starting from the left, the antelope, the eagle, the jaguar, the panda, the gorilla, the panda, the shark, the wolf, the bat, the elephant, panther. At the center was a dragon. The same dragon that Paris wore around her neck. For the guardians, the bear, the lion, the falcon, the boar, the snake, goat, the horse, the snapping turtle, the dove, the koala twins, and the vulture. Paris stood up straight. " Let's get started then " she said.
