Norway, 2015. 15 year old Paris came and sat down on the rock, overlooking the graves of her mother and father who were killed when she was born. As she overlooked the graves, her grandfather came up to her, and place his hands on her shoulders, and Paris cried into her grandfather's sleeves. After, he steered her back to his mansion. She walked in and walked up the spiral staircase to her room. The door to her room had her family crest on it as the lock. She flipped the crest revealing a key lock. She put the key into the lock and turned it and opened her door. She walked in, slipped the key over her neck, and collapsed onto her bed. " my lady " said the family maiden. " come in " responded Paris. Helen, the family maid walked in carrying a bowl of clam chowder. " Your clam chowder is ready for you " as she set the steaming bowl onto Paris's desk. " Takk skal du ha " responded Paris, saying Thank you in Norwegian, a language her grandfather insisted on her learning at a young age. " my lady, there is no need to thank me " responded Helen, with a toss of her jet black hair. She had caramel skin, jet black hair, and misty gray eyes and had just turned 23. She was also native American. After Helen left the room, Paris took the bowl and set the tray onto her bed. She slowly walked over to her distinctly designed nightstand and picked up the remote to her tv. She walked over to her tall, draped, dark, bed, and sat down. She turned on a show that was playing, Norwegian Mysteries; one of her favorite shows to watch. She leaned over and took a bite of the warm chunky, creamy, clam chowder. Bored, she turned over her necklace, given to her by her mom and dad when she was a baby, there it was that crest that crest that she had been seeing all through her house. The necklace itself was a black locket with a orange crystal on the inside. The crest engraved in the orange crystal was a dragon head. More precisely, the ancient dragon of sun, Kiriku. She put the spoon in the bowl and left her room, the locket in her hand. The orange gem started glowing. The orange stone started blinking really fast before she entered the library. The library was a little weird. Instead, of books there were scrolls. There were wrapped in bright colored paper and a black tube poking through the top and bottom. They were all old and breaking apart. The gem lead her to the back of the library. She held it in front of each shelf before stopping in the middle shelf. She pushed a small button behind some books. A lock came out, in the shape of her locket. She put the locket inside and pushed it in. The dragon head inscribed on the gem started glowing black. Next, to it, a small slide popped out. Something rolled down, revealing a new scroll. This scroll, unlike the other scrolls, looked like it was brand new. The tube was black like the others, but it was wrapped in orange. On the scrolls was her family crest. Paris picked it up curiously. The scroll started glowing orange. Paris's head jerked back. Visions started playing through her head. She saw a throne room in the clouds. There were 12 beings sitting on the thrones. She saw a battlefield, people fighting people, animal spirits clashing in the air. Lightning flashing, oceans flooding, rocks flying through the air. She blinked back into reality. She looked around, still finding herself in the library, still holding the mysterious orange scroll. She heard footsteps, walking down the hallway. She quickly took her locket back, hiding the slide. She ran to the door and put her back to it, her hands still clutching the orange scroll. " We have to tell her " said Helen. Paris listened. Helen and Paris's grandfather were walking down the hallway. Her grandfather shook his head quickly. " no, it's too soon " he replied. " If you won't tell her, I will " said helen, stepping in front of her grandfather. Her grandfather stopped. A glowing brown aura appeared around him. Soon after, a grizzly bear spirit appeared behind her grandfather. Her eyes filled with shock, her body paralyzed. " no, if she finds out who she is, she will never be able to stop montegar " he said calmly. Helen stepped back and let her dark red aura appear. A tiger spirit appeared behind her. Both of their spirit animals glowing behind them. Both of their body's still wrapped in the aura's. " she isn't a little girl anymore Tiro, you must let me teach her if we have any chance on finding her spirit animal and defeating montegar " she warned. Both of their aura's and spirit animals disappeared. " we wait until we are certain of what her animal spirit is " said Tiro. He walked around helen and walked down the hallway. Helen soon followed. Paris poked her head out and ran to her room and locking the door. She walked to the nightstand next to her bed and opened the drawer. She looked at her clock. It was 8:30. Quickly dropping the scroll into the drawer and locking the drawer, she laid on her bed and closed her eyes. Who was montegar? What were those animal spirits that she saw? And what was the big secret? One way to find out. She would need to open the scroll.
