Aliens in the Attic

Chapter Five

Once they were in the basement, the took separated ways in order to find what the aliens were looking for.

"I'm telling you, their map led down here" Tom said having a confidence look, Sofia scoffed and turned to him saying "You positive?" with a unsure face not believing him completely. Tom was about to respond when Hannah said in a hushed tone"You hear that? Rice Krispies".

They all began to look around the place moving their heads until Sofia noticed that the noice was coming from Lee's pocket. He took his Nintendo DS out slowly and asked "What is that?", Tom grabbed it and said "It's them" with a worried face; Sofia continued by saying "Something down here's setting it off", they again started to look for the object when Jake grabbed a leaves sweeper and exclaimed "Well, whatever it is, we can't let 'em get to it. Everyone, gear up. We move on my command", Sofia rolled her eyes at her best friend ignorance. "Now, just hold on" said Sofia trying to stop them, "If we run up there with a bunch of random junk, we're gonna get creamed and I don't know about you but I'm not feeling like expiring today" ; Tom was thinking the same thing so he nodded "We can make something better" he said looking at the tube in his hands.

The twins and Tim shared a worried face not agreeing with Tom. Jake just wanted to attack the aliens "We're in the middle of a battle, and you wanna play science fair?no way. We're going back in now before our parents end up as alien zombies" he said looking at his cousin trying to convince him", Sofia decided to interrupt and moved herself in front of the boys "You're not thinking dumbass. We need a plan" she said poking Jake's head. "I already have a great idea for a weapon" said Tom trying to convince Jake, Jake just smiled sarcastically and said "Really? Let's go, now" grabbing the attention of the twins and Tim who followed after Jake and leaving the basement.

Sofia rolled her eyes at Jake's behavior and said under her breath "he's gonna get us all killed" shaking her head. She turned to Tom "so nerd, what are we going to do" flashing him a smirk. Tom let out a sigh "Hannah, hand me that tape".

Tom, Hannah and Sofia were going upstairs when they heard the twins saying "Now what are we gonna do?","I don't know". Hannah was scared so Sofia grabbed her hand to try to reassure her. Tom turned toward them saying "stay behind me" , Sofia scoffed and exclaimed "I can protect myself" under her breath. As soon as they entered, they heard the others screaming "No! Don't! Don't!" but it was too late, they started floating too.
"There's no gravity. Dude, this is awesome" exclaimed Sofia with a dream look on her face. They all stared at her with a you serious look, she just raised her hands in surrender.

The female alien appeared from the door of the attic with a horrible face saying "hello, hu-mans" then another alien showed up sarcastically saying "Enjoying the ride?". The aliens touched their shoes and they now were on their way to the door. Art had a shocked face and said "They have gravity boots" Tim continued by saying "Why don't we have gravity boots?" clearly confused. The male alien mocked him "They have gravity boots." Now the aliens were closer to the door, Sofia reacted and said "The door! Stop 'em! Use your weapon, Tom!", the male alien turned to face him "Bring it, meat sack, Jake frantically screamed "Today!".

Tom used his weapon and he was sent back because the lack of gravity, "A potato gun? That's your big idea?" Jake screamed getting frustrated. The aliens saw that the humans plan wasn't working and said "My plan is working", the other responded "My plan. You mean my plan". Sofia noticed that Tom was close enough to a fire extinguisher, she pointed it with her head in order to tell him;Hannah called out to her brother "Hurry, Tommy", he quickly took it and used it to launch himself towards the door and closing it with the lock. He then used the fire extinguisher to attack the aliens but he ran out of it and now the aliens were climbing to unlock the door.
Sofia took action and since Jake was closer to Tom now, she yelled at him "Jake, get the grenade! Hurry!", Jake nodded his head and went to do what his best friend told him; once he got it Sofia yelled again "Quick! Toss it to Tom!". Tom used the fire extinguisher to destroy the grenade and they were trowed back to the floor.

There was a thud heard when they fell on the floor, except for Hannah who landed on a soft sofa. Sofia started mumbling under her breath "those little son's of a--" but was cut short when the aliens started to attack them and ran towards the attic door"Quick! Get 'em!" started saying the twins, "Go!" continued saying Tim , Lee spoke "Shoot him! Shoot him!," Art said "Go, go, go!,shoot him!" gaining the attention of his older brother who shot at the aliens when they were trying to go to the attic's door.
