Ch. 2: Mark

School is going to be over in 4 minutes, then we get to leave and it'll be Summer vacation! But I don't think it will start good since I decided to fight back against my bullies.
Ring Ring
The bell rings and I run out of the class as fast as possible to my locker. I grab everything out and start running home before Julie and Justin can find me. I wasn't fast enough. They were waiting for me by my house. I turn around and start running and they see me. I hear their footsteps right behind me. I run a little faster, and after about 5 minutes they catch me.
"Hey what you did at school was not cool!" Julie says slapping my face.
"Yeah! You don't mess with us or we can seriously hurt you." Justin says.
"But you did do that! So now we just have to hurt you!" Julie says as she punches me in the face. I fall back. Justin kicks me on my side.
"Stop please!" I scream. They kick me a few more times until I hear someone yell.
"Hey what the hell are you doing!?" It's a boy's voice. Julie and Justin run off.
The boy runs up to me, "Hey are you okay? What happened?"
"I'm fine." I say as I get up and start walking away crying. I didn't want this random boy seeing me cry.
"Clearly you're not "fine". I'm Mark what's your name?" Mark asks.
"Lilly. Can I be alone now?" I say wiping my tears and not looking at his face, I just look at the floor.
"Come on I'm walking you to your house." Mark says grabbing my arm. I start limping with him towards my house.
"Hey? Is your leg okay?" Mark asks.
"Not really but I'll be fi-" I am cut off by Mark picking me up bridal style, "Seriously?"
"Where is your house?"
"Over there." I say pointing.
7 mins later
We finally got to the house. Mark puts me down. "If you need me here is my number." He says grabbing my phone and putting his number in.
"Thanks."
"Mark?" I say as he starts walking away.
"Yeah?"
"Do you mind staying? My dad is worse than those bullies, and I don't want to be alone right now."
"I'll stay." He says as we walk inside.
