Ch.15: Are you okay Mark?

"Mark?" I say sadly.
"Lilly? What's going on? Who were they?" He asks scared.
"You're in the hospital and I guess forgot everyone. Except me. Do you remember what happened?" I ask.
"No. Can we go home?" He asks.
"I can tell you're lying." I say. Because it's true. I can tell when he is lying.
"Your dad. He came to my house because he escaped prison. He, he threw me down and when I was on the floor he hit me with something big and it knocked me out. That's all I remember." He says.
"This. Is. All. My. Fault." I say choking on every word. I feel the tears fall down my face.
"No it isn't. Come here." He says hugging me.
"I'm sorry. You should've never helped me. He never would've came for you! Mark now that you came into my life, I put you in danger, and I would try to stay away from you so my dad would leave you alone. But. But I just can't!" I say crying into his neck.
"Don't say that. I came because I wanted to, not because I had to. I love you Lilly." He said looking into my eyes, and wiping my tears.
"I love you too!" I say staring into his eyes.

Mark starts leaning in, so do I. I close my eyes and feel his lips against mine. I feel sparks everywhere. This feels right. After about 30 seconds we pull away.
"Wow." Is all I can say.
"Wow!" He says looking at me.
"I have to go." I say as I get up and run out.
"Lilly wait!" Is all I hear.
I want to be with Mark. I just feel like if we date we will break up and get mad at each other. I don't want that to happen! I need him. I need him with me, so me running away might of ruined this. I need to go back.
I turn around and start going to his hospital room. I walk in and see him laying down crying.
"I'm so stupid!" He repeats whispering to himself.
I walk over to him and lay by him.
"You are not stupid." I say grabbing his hand.
"Did I ruin us?" He asks.
"Not at all. I can't lose you, no matter what happens." I say turning so we're laying down face to face. He puts an arm around me.
"Good."
