He wakes, his mind and eyes still heavy from sleep. As he wakes he damn near has a heart attack because there's a bunch of blonde hair on his chest, then he remembers what led to this scene. He remembers talking to a beautiful girl with eyes that seemed so brilliant they made the sun dim in comparison. How she smiled at the stupid jokes he made, and the way she looked at him with sincere caring in her eyes, which he hadn't felt in the longest time. Remembering this brings back other memories as well. Like when he saw her with bandages on her arm covering the roads that the demons that lie within her soul used to escape. It's a sad memory, but that sadness brings with it other emotions, many of which have to do with the injustice that has been suffered by this girl. That memory also brings with it happiness because it reminds him of the goodness that has come about since that night. Goodness like her saying that he saved her, which made him unusually close to tears. Forced to return to the present because of her small body shifting against his. He sees that she has nestled closer to him than before, causing the blanket they lie beneath become wrinkled between them. The beautiful blue eyes I touched upon earlier are now closed and she looks almost more beautiful like this, with nothing troubling her, and no demons haunting her every thought. As he pulls her closer he can't help but feel that even though their bodies are pressed together they are not close enough. Suddenly an urge to wake her so that he may try to explain in his feelings in words grabs him, but he refrains from doing so. Two things hold him back from waking her, he knows he cannot properly explain the growing pressure in his heart that he feels each moment he is in her presence, and he knows that if he woke her he would be dealing with a very cranky and sleepy girl. As he looks at her he realizes that he has fallen for her, and that he wouldn't have it any other way.
