Chapter 1

   Who could have thought that Kendra would meet the love of her life.  It was the first day of school and she was walking in the hallway with Alexis and her boyfriend Trent.  Alexis was Kendra's best friend.  They spent the night at each others house, went shopping, and went out to eat together almost every weekend or when they had time.  Trent was Alexis boyfriend and Trent was with them almost every time they went out to eat.  Now Kendra wasn't the most popular person, but she was just your normal girl and she sort of cared about school.  But she, Alexis, and Trent got invited to a lot of cool parties on Friday nights and hung out with hot guys and girls who were considered the popular people in school.  "I wish I wasn't always the third wheel. I mean I get invited to all the cool parties and hang out with cool people. Why don't I have a boyfriend like you Alexis," Kendra said upsetly.

"I don't know Kendra, but I'm sure someone at this school likes you. You just haven't met him yet, Alexis said hopefully.  Hey, Trent has a friend but he's older than you," Alexis said excitedly.

"How much older, like a month or two?," Kendra said questionly.

"Yes," Trent said.

"Really? Kendra said surprised, "wait is he cute?"

"I don't know it depends on what you think because I can't really say anything because I'm a boy," Trent said.

"Well do you have a picture or something," Kendra said eagerly.

"Yeah but it's from like three years ago," Trent said.

"I don't care just show the picture," Kendra said eagerly.

"Okay, Kendra he is getting it just be patient," Alexis said.

"Here's a picture of Jake and me at the stake park," Trent said.

"Omg! He is sooo...........ugly. There is no way I'm going out with him in a million years," Kendra said disgusted.

"Well Kendra that was three years ago," Alexis said.

"I don't care, he probably hasn't changed either," Kendra said disappointed, "lets just get to class we're going to be late."

 As the day went on everybody started getting texts except for Kendra.  Even Alexis and Trent got the text and they didn't even tell her.  And when Kendra found out at lunch she got a little upset. Kendra got confused and didn't know why she didn't get invited to the party like she always did. Then Alexis and Trent explained that it was their idea to not invite her because she didn't have a boyfriend and that she always felt left out.  But Kendra didn't care all she wanted to do was have fun with her friends at a party.  So Kendra just got upset and couldn't believe that her friends would do this to her and not invite her.  But after a while they said she could because her and Alexis were best friends and they always did everything together and weren't going to leave her out.   "Alexis you can ride home with me to ready for the party and Trent you pick us up a little before the party," Kendra said 

"Okay," Trent said

So after school was over Alexis went home with Kendra to get ready.  The problem was that they didn't know what to wear to a senior party because they had only been to younger high school parties but now they were seniors and they had to look amazing.  So they looked for the hottest outfits they could find.  Alexis was the first one to find an outfit that was the hottest. She found some dark blue-booty shorts and a light blue tank top belly shirt.  After about five more minutes Kendra finally found another pair of booty short that were a lighter blue and an aqua tank top belly shirt.  When they looked in the mirror they thought that they looked amazing and couldn't wait for the party. Then they realized that they need to do there and so they rushed into the bathroom.  While Kendra was putting a high ponytail in Alexis's hair Alexis's phone rang.  When they answered it was Trent who call telling them that he was on his way to get them.  So they quickly finished doing a high ponytail on both of their heads and went to go wait for Trent.   When Trent pulled up in front of Kendra's house they rushed outside, got in the car and drove off to the party.   "You look hot Alexis," Trent said with a smile.

"Thank you Trent. And you look so cute," Alexis said blushing.

Kendra felt really weird while they told each other how amazing she looked. She wish she had someone to tell her that she's hot. But she doesn't think any will ever like her.  So she just sat in the back of the car without saying a word to anyone.

After a long ride in the car while listening to Alexis and Trent talk about how cute they both look, they got to the party and Kendra was really nervous because what if Trent asked Jake to come so Alexis and Trent could hook Kendra and Jake up.  But Kendra didn't want to date an ugly guy or a guy like him at all. He wasn't her type not even close. So when they walked inside they saw some of their friends and Kendra didn't feel so nervous anymore because either Jake hadn't shown up yet or he wasn't coming. In the middle of the party Kendra saw all these hot, cute, and amazing guys take girls up to bedrooms and making out with other girls she just had to go back to Alexis and Trent.   But when she got back over to where they were she saw them making out just like every other couple in the room. So she went into another room away from everyone else.  She felt alone but when she looked up she saw a face that she had seen before in a picture earlier that day.  After a while of staring at each other Kendra realized it was Jake.  And he also came in here to be away from everyone else.  He wasn't ugly at all like he was in the picture but Trent was right he had changed over the three years. He was actually really cute and she felt bad that she had called him ugly before.  After a long moment of silence she Kendra finally said something.  "You're Jake right?" Kendra asked.

"Yeah," Jake said questioned.

"Trent's friend?" Kendra asked.

"Yeah," Jake said.

"I'm Kendra. Trent is my best friend's boyfriend Alexis," Kendra said smiling.

"That's cool," Jake said smiling.

"Did you come in here to get away from all that?" Kendra asked.

"Yeah, I don't like watching all those people doing that when I have anyone to do it with," Jake said blushing.

"Same here," Kendra said blushing as well.

But what Kendra did not know was that this whole kissing and making out thing, getting Kendra to go into the same room as Jake, was all part of Alexis and Trent's plan for them to meet. "Maybe we could hang out sometime," Kendra said feeling stupid.

"Yeah, I'd like that," Jake said smiling.

Kendra felt something inside that she had never felt before.  She felt welcomed and liked a guy actually cared about her.  That is when right there that she knew that she had fallen in love with a cute, funny, cool, hot, and amazing guy. And his name was Jake.  But was Jake in love with her? How would she find out?  Did he know that she liked him?  Will he end up asking her out?  Will she make a mistake and not go out with him?  What will Alexis and Trent think?
