Monday.
It must be a man, because it comes to quickly.
Turning my phone on to check the time, I was greeted by a picture of me and tyler as my lock screen photo and the time displaying 7:50am.
Being expelled I had the whole day to myself. I still hadn't grow enough courage to tell my brother. He had to focus on football. Plus, he was out all weekend at different parties or at practise.
My brother had practise this morning, meaning that he left really early. He was captain of the senior football team, so that meant that he had to be very organized in getting to school. He worked so hard to become the captain, its his passion, and I love the smile he has when he plays.
I always go to his games. I wouldn't admit this out loud but I actually loved football. I love watching it. I love playing it. Everything about it made my happy.
I decided that I would spend my day at the beach today, it had been a while and I needed a tan. Even though my skin was naturally olive, I loved the beach.
Feeling full and refreshed from my nutella toast and my shower this morning, I grabbed my beach bag and put all the essentials in it and headed out my apartment door.
I spent all night tossing and turning at the recent events that happened yesterday. Still trying to wrap my head around the idea that Mr.Grumpy and his adorable sister lived in my building. It seemed pretty inevitable that I was going to bump into him at some time but that didn't mean that I couldn't lower the chance by avoiding him at all costs. There was something about him that screamed trouble and I didn't like that.
Feeling the temperature change suddenly as the elevator signalled that I had arrived at the garage. The cool breeze blowing past my warm face. My dark hair, left out, blowing behind me as I walked towards my car.
Connecting my phone to the bluetooth in my car I played some of my favourite music, rap. Turning on J.Cole's new album I started the engine.
Don't judge me, I had an older brother.
The beats blasting through my surround sound speakers in my car as I drove out of the carpark.
I was lucky enough to be living 10 minutes away from the beach, not that I went very regularly anymore.
I used to.
Watching the trees slowly race past my car as the beach came into view. The bump coming into contact with my car as I slowed down and tried to find a parking spot. I admit it, I had some sort of luck when it came to finding parking spaces. Within the first 30 seconds of searching, a car pulled out from its parking spot.
After waiting for the blue toyota to pull out of its parking space, I made my way in the lines. To only then be cut off by a very slick and expensive looking, red ferrari.
What the hell.
I mean number one, who takes a ferrari to the beach.
Number two, I was clearly waiting for the car to pull out.
And number freaking three, WHAT A JERK!
Luckily, luck was on my side and the car next to it started to pull out. This time I was determined to get the spot, and I did.
I wasn't the one for confrontation but I was going to give this person a piece of my mind. Determined I got my bag from the passenger seat and prepared to unlock my door, taking my keys in my hand.
As I was about to open the door, a familiar face walked out of the ferrari.
I rolled my eyes. This explains everything.
Who is a jerk, shows off in front of absolutely everything that has an ass and doesn't respect anyone.
His name starts with a C and rhymes with face.
His tight, white, v-neck, gripped his body in all the right places and if I didn't know him personally I wouldn't be afraid to do a double take. His strong arms pushing the car door shut as the car locked itself automatically.
Thinking back to my earlier promise about limiting the amount of times that I would have to face him, I huffed and slowly walked out my car door. Manually clicking the button to lock my car, I wearily walked to the beach.
Making sure that I could see chase, I walked to the opposite end of the beach to avoid any conversation.
I just wanted to relax.
Alone.
Setting up my round towel on the soft sand, I took off my sandals and let the warm sand heat up my feat. The contact making me shiver.
Taking off my shirt and shorts, I set my bag and clothes on the towel. My black swimsuit standing out on my olive skin. Getting a few wolf whistles, I ran to the water. The cold water making contact with my newfound warm feet.
The waves crashing over my small frame. I had always found the beach comforting and calming. Then one day that stopped and now I prefer the gym.
Feeling my body becoming cold from an hour of swimming and floating around in the water, I started to crave the sun's heat on my body. Stepping out of the water, I walked over to my towel and laid on it.
Listening to the waves crash on to the beach, I felt at peace. This was the life.
"Aside from being sexy, what do you do for a living." A husky voice interrupted my peace.
I spoke too soon.
