The sounds of the waves crashing onto the wet sand in front of us, was the only sound that could be heard as Tyler and I sat on our towel imprinting on the sand beneath us. The warmth radiating from Tyler's body as his arm laid on my shoulder. The smell of the sea intoxicating my senses, creating a safe environment for me as I stared at the stars above us. The upright position that I was in becoming increasingly uncomfortable. As if Tyler was thinking the same thing he begins to lay down on the towel and opens his arms for me to do the same.
Slowly laying down his arms tightening around my waist, almost by instinct my arms lay on his chest. Closing my eyes as I heard his steady breathing.
"I missed this" Tylers voice cuts through the almost silent night.
"Me too" My voice coming out as a mumble from the lack of talking.
"I'm sorry" His voice softer this time.
Confused as to why he was apologizing, I looked up to see that he was already staring at me. His eyes gleaming from the moonlight as only half of his face was illuminated. My face knitting in confusion as I urged him to continue.
Was he apologising for me getting expelled?
"For everything that happened." He whispered clearly in pain.
"What are you talking about, you are the sole reason that I am able to actually move on with my life."I mumbled. Understanding that he wasn't talking about me getting expelled.
Giving me a weak smile back he turned back to look up at the stars.
Determined on brightening up the mood, I changed the subject quickly.
"Don't deny it, you missed me so much at school today" I chuckled as I leaned on my arm to get a full look at his face.
"Any sane person would, I was stuck with Ava the whole day. She kept complaining about why someone as hot as Jake Anderson was such a jerk" Tyler rolled his eyes. I laughed at his annoyance.
"She has never talked to him before" I chuckled.
"Apparently one cannot be hot and nice at the same time." He mimicked ava's voice.
"Seriously babe, I can't wait until you can come back to school. I can't take four more days of this torture." He pleaded.
"Desperation is not a good look on you tyler" I teased.
He gave me a flat look and chuckled knowing well that I was just teasing him. Tyler and I had such an amazing friendship, I don't know what I would do without him.
Realising that I was probably going to get in a lot of trouble for coming home late from my brother, I decided that it was time to go and Tyler agreed.
Slowly packing up all of my stuff, I slowly started to make my way to my car and said goodbye to Tyler.
The ride home didn't take long and before I knew it, I was standing outside of my apartment mentally hyping myself up to tell my brother everything. He deserved to know, but that didn't make it any less scary.
Twisting the door knob to open the door, I was met with my brother standing in front of the door with his arms crossed and his face laced with worry. That is adorable! My brother was worried about me. Clearly knowing this was no time to joke around I closed the door and prepared myself for a whole lot of yelling.
"Where the hell have you been, and why weren't you at school!" He shouted still with his arms crossed acting all superior. My brother was always chill and to see him shouting was a drastic change and I wasn't liking it.
"I will tell you if you promise not to shout at me." I whimpered under his gaze still recovering from the shouting. I relaxed when his features softened.
"I'm sorry, but you can't blame me for being a concerned brother, I haven't seen you all day." He spoke softly.
"Yeah, about that." Trying to find the right words I paused but was interrupted by a very impatient brother of mine.
"Just spit it out, I promise I won't yell" He replied impatiently.
After taking a minute to find the right words, I told him everything. From the science teacher to the principal expelling me. What surprised me was his reaction, where I expected him to yell at me even though he promised not to. He just told me that this was a one time thing and it was never to happen again. I nodded still shocked at the reaction I was getting. However when his face relaxed completely, I felt a pang of guilt for not telling about the incident with the man on street. So with extreme caution I told him.
He didn't take it well.
"You are not to leave this apartment without someone I trust with you at all time." He stated with no room for argument.
Understanding that I had to have one of his friends or tyler with me at all times. I nodded. His friends saw me as their sister and they always took care of me, so I really didn't mind.
"What about for work?" I questioned. He thought about it for a minute and then stated.
"You have to call me when you get there and when you get back to the house"
I gave him an emotionless look, I was ready to argue but realised he was just trying to be a good brother. Even though he was overreacting I understood.
"Okay." Tired of the fighting I gave him a hug. "I love you" I mumbled through his chest.
"This is all for you. I love you so much, I wouldn't be able to handle losing you too." He spoke softly.
"You are not going to lose me. Unfortunately for you, you are stuck with me for a very long time" I chuckled.
"Doesn't sound too bad to me" He laughed and let go of me.
Feeling emotionally drained, I called it a night and headed to my bedroom and fell asleep feeling very loved.
******
A/N This chapter was to show the amount of care that both Tyler and Blake have for Aurora. But also to introduce some characters that may or may not be very important in the future ;)
I still have a couple more to introduce but after that we can get this show on the road. I hope that you enjoyed it.
I honestly can't wait to write the rest of this book.
I love you all and remember to smile xxx
