It had been two weeks since team Kakashi and Takeo had arrived back from the simple mission, and life as they knew it had changed drastically. Takeo had split from Kakashi and met up with Shikamaru when both found out Sasuke had defected. The most notable change was the fact that Sasuke had abandoned the village, Shikamaru then leading a team of genin to retrieve the said boy, but was unable to do so.
Many had almost kicked the bucket but they were luckily given medical attention in time. Naruto's pride was damaged considerably, knowing that Sasuke had defeated and almost killed him. It saddened Takeo to see just how easily bonds could be broken when opportunities arise. And most importantly, he missed his banter with the ravenette, whom he assumed hated him in the end.
Takeo never should've compared Sasuke to Itachi, he'd only be disappointed in the end. Nobody could fill the void of the elder Uchiha and swordsman, no matter how much he wanted them to. And it wasn't fair to expect that of someone. He knew this and was relieved that he wasn't involved in the retrieval operation. Not that he could've anyway.
And where was Takeo when the mission went down, you may ask?
The silver haired boy was on lock down, placed in solitary confinement in one of Konoha's black site apartments. Lady Tsunade had taken it upon herself to have the boy locked away for both his safety and the protection of the village. He was unstable and unpredictable, and the Hokage wasn't going to allow him to continue on his path to destruction.
Lady Tsunade had taken it upon herself to be the one to visit and ensure that Takeo was doing as instructed; meditating, eating healthy, sleeping and talking to herself or any rookie he was semi close to. Tsunade believed that it was Takeo's lack of positive bonds created and formed within his lifetime, that contributed to his extreme anger. It obviously didn't help that he never truly grieved the death of his self proclaimed brother, Haku, so that was the first order of business.
Over the weeks, Shikamaru had been tasked to visit the boy, and unfortunately being the ones to tell him about the departure of Sasuke Uchiha. The Nara had been cautious, ANBU were ready to rush him out of the room as soon as there was a flicker of anger was detected. But all were surprised when the boy just remained silent before thanking Shikamaru for the information and bidding him a good night.
Takeo didn't take any visitors for the next few hours and refused everyone, including Koneko, entry. His only constant was Shikamaru who didn't bend to the silver haired boy's anger and visited constantly. Fresh bruises on Takeo had begun to fade on the second week, and Shikamaru had been furious with the anbu who caused them.
They weren't reprimanded and became the ones who kept watch over the Jashinist's son.
It wasn't until the last day of his second week under house arrest, that Tsunade had decided on a radical approach to Takeo's lack of wanting to socialise. It was something she never once doubted would work, after all it involved someone who played a more significant part in the boy's past than he'd care to admit. A role that Tsunade wasn't even sure of.
It was around 3pm and therefore Takeo's mid afternoon meditation session was in full swing. The golden glow of the sun was illuminating the white walled room, and washing over the boy's shirtless figure. The warm embrace of the suns rays gave the boy a feeling of calm, one that made his skin glow under the aureate light. The past two weeks had Takeo living a peaceful existence, but that did not mean his anger had faded in the slightest.
