Everything was destoryed after the earths anger punished the land - for the first time ever. The frightening thing about the event was that I knew it was coming and I couldn't escape the grasp of it. I felt helpless and small as the floor rumbled; that's what made me weaker, knowing that I couldn't do anything about it, I couldn't help the villagers. No body.

What makes me wonder though is that there is a purpose why the earthquake happened, there is a reason for it to set a light. I know this because Mother warned me herself, she was a Time teller. The only one that used to exist. She warned and warned about it, not by word of mouth but by keeping me away from getting closer. Sometimes I thought she was mad, though there was always a touch in her eye that sung, You are the light to the fire...

I suddenly feel being reached out towards; feeling a slight bliss rise into my chest as I was already in someone's embrace - a pair of bulky arms carrying my dark filthy body. Flicking a piece of my blush pink hair I only see masses of midnight black looking like the shadows engulfing the land itself.

Broken bricks out of place scatter the pathway; my figure jumps up and down by the one who is carrying me to avoid the damage left by the monster. Entering into a room towered by the darkness, a grey female figure kicks away the broken pieces left on the surface before I settle upon the icy floor - dust simmering upon the land.

What has happened? I didn't do anything about it? I could of helped a little by telling everybody that this was coming... it was just around the corner.

As I became unworthy by the clouding thoughts, a voice blew it away, "Evangeline?!" a cry peaks before me, a pair of glassy green tinted eyes brought up close before my very own colourless eyes. "Evangeline... Thank god..." the voice of my older brother Daius lets a little flourish waken me, rushing forward onto my knees I wrap my cold arms around his cut body closely.

I'm sorry... "Daius! I kne-"

"I know." he hushes me by pulling me up, his hand pressed against my unclean lips. What... He knew? He knew and didn't do anything either... But... He must of thought about it deeply if he did not even try to keep anyone away from it.

Daius sweeps both of his hands onto my shoulders, his sad gaze holds mine for a while before I look behind him to see Linqwisher stumble from the dancing dust and into the frozen room we are in.

Huffing in and out the foul atmosphere of dust he sits himself up from being bent over from catching his breath. Linqwisher steps towards all of us within the room, his face showing an emotion I could not tell but I found it is different then I have ever seen in my seventeen years of life, like a mix emotion of excitement and unsure.

Watching Daius stand up onto his feet - I follow the same, standing onto my two feet and brushing off little amounts of foliage off me; the rest of the muck clinging onto me.

"That earthquake is no ordinary earthquake." Linqwisher explains with a gentle nod before pacing in a line repeatedly. "I just examined the crisis and it appears to have revealed and the land itself and opened up into a giant hole..." I saw him take a quick uneasy glance at me before watching his own feet pace, "There is something and someone down there."

Daius also takes a side peek at me - everyone glanced at me, I saw it all. Hmm...

"...Now I have no intentions of getting rid of it as I see no way to however I want to talk to Daius alone outside." Linqwisher without a farewell or a moment to breath he takes big steps throughout the door - my brother following behind with his hand rubbing the back of his head.

I think this happened too soon, too quick. I cannot sit here and feel sorry for myself and the people, it is a dissappointment and a somewhat disgrace my Mother is seeing right now...

Moments pasted. Daius walks towards me, his eyes wondering the floor briefly before looking at me with a sad smile drawing onto his unclean face. His fingers brush into my slightly knotted light pink hair - nuzzling my head roughly before breaking the silence with his upspring voice, "Come on! We are going to check out that ditch in the mud!" he says with a strong eager laugh finishing.

"What...?" I couldn't help but ask why to go near such an unreal thing that wasn't ment to come with the earthquake. But then again... The earthquake happened for a reason and I will find it.

As soon as Daius was about to take another step out, his head peers over his shoulder along with his body slightly tilting back with the motioning of his head, "What do you mean 'what', you want to know why the earthquake happened, am I wrong?" the question had the answer in itself. Nodding softly I pace casually behind him.

Keeping my eyes onto his stepping as we both embark into the distance I notice the dust disappearing each tick of the time. Weavering through tall grass that met my hips, we venture through the endless meadow that sways with the gushes of gentle winds. The sky became a little brighter, its colour currently a pale grey blended with aqua blue. I couldn't see any of the sky dwellers. No Caribergs. No Drifters. Nothing.

The wildlife seemed to have gone out of sight. We have traveled quite far away from the village me and Daius come from. Releasing a sigh into the atmosphere, Daius turns around, stopping as he eyes me as if I didn't want to come out here and seek the reason. His eye brow kept arched sharply, he tuts his index finger directing at me, "Hey, don't be like that. It's just down this hill." he says with a quick flick of his head.

A smile pulls along my facial features as I wander forward carefully, stopping next to my brother as I knew the hill we are standing upon is a steep one, peering over the hill with him as our eyes focus into the depths of it - something is down there, something glowing and also someone as I saw very faint outlife of a body showing thanks the sky polishing.
