Chapter 7: Night Out

I hug Maliki tightly not wanting to leave my babies without me around but I know my mom will look after them

"Mommy, do you have to go?" Jayden pouts and I kiss his forehead

"I do baby but I'll be back before you know it, now be good for grandma, Aunty Macky and uncle Mike okay?" I say and he nods, meanwhile Michael tries to get Brooke off Peeta who has Peeta in a death grip as she hugs him not wanting him to leave and so once she's off of him Peeta and I have to rush outside.

"We haven't done anything like this since the kids were born" I state as we sit in our seats, Peeta and I are at a fancy restaurant, kid free

"I know. It's nice, just spending quality time with you, I mean I love our kids so much but it's nice for us to have a break" Peeta says and I smile at him as the waiter pours our wine in our glasses

"To our children and our happy marriage" Peeta says raising his glass and I clink it with mine as we both take a sip, God... I haven't tasted wine in ages... not since Peeta proposed

"We've had such a bumpy life together so far..." he admits placing his glass down

"I know... I'm glad how it all ended though. Listen, I want to have another baby with you Peeta... I really do but I just... I think that the stress would be too much and I'd loose the baby. I want to have one with you again but... I don't know, the kids health isn't as stable as I want it to be to have another child but I promise you that we'll have another one" I honestly tell him and he smiles taking my hand from across the table

"I know... it's okay. I feel the same as well now... I'm ready when you are" he agrees making me sigh with relief

"Then we'll take our time with this... I'm glad that you agree" I reply

"Hey... your my always remember? Your my other half and I'm always here to hear you out okay?" He replies and I nod, throughout our night we try our best not talking about the children which is hard but we manage and we make it to be a wonderful night.

Three Years Later

I hold the tiny baby in my arms, little Lillian, no complications, perfectly healthy. Peeta and I decided that it's time to try again and we did, we now have our baby Lillian. The triplets come in with my mom and they all climb on my bed, looking at their new baby sister

"You've got a new baby sister" I tell them, Brooke kisses the top of her head where her blond fuzzy curls are

"Can I hold her?" Brooke asks, I nod and she sits next to me, I lay Lillian in her older sisters arms

"She's really boring" Maliki admits, looking to Peeta who rolls his eyes

"She's been born a day and you're already being mean to your sister" Peeta chuckles at his son, I look around the room with a happy smile, I love my family, they're my life and I don't know how I'd survive with them not in my life.
