Chapter 1: FIRST RAY: RENESSME'S POV

Edward swung his arm over Bella's stomach, and despite her playful efforts to escape, Edward flipped Bella and flung her over his shoulder. "Edward!" Bella screamed, kicking his stone chest. Edward laughed at the blow, feeling her vampire kicks, and comparing them to the human tremors of a kiss she had only a year ago. Edward swirled Bella in his arms, chuckling sweetly.

I watched in jealously as my parents, swirled and danced in a world of their own. Edward kissed Bella's forhead gently, and lowered her onto a bed of green. "Well, aren't they being a show," Jacob joked, next to me on this picnic table. He popped a handful of 8 strawberries into his mouth.

"I guess," I said, picking up a single strawberry and eating it. Jacob laughed.

"You'll never grow eating that," he joked, nudging me followed by the throwing of a red, juicy strawberry.

"I think I'm growing fine enough, twice then I should," I argued, nibbling on another strawberry. "Besides, Alice is cooking some shrimp pasta dish."

"Oh, yes, the wonderful chef Alice," Jacob quipped.

"You are invited to stay," I told him. "You like shrimp, right?"

"When its free, then yes," he laughed. "But I don't have the cash to pay for that."

"Well,theni, just eat mine," I said, picking up the empty strawberry bowl. "I'll get more of these." I walked into the light-filled kitchen, and pulled out the package of strawberries from the stainless steel refridgerator. I dumped every single last fruit into a blue hued plastic bowl. I sat back down at the table, and tossed the filled bowl onto the table.

"Thanks," Jacob said, before shoving a fist worth of berries. "Mmmmm..."

I laughed at him, with his pig like eating. Jake rolled his eyes. "What? Why can't a man eat in peace?"

"You have strawberry on your chin, idiot..." I giggled, wiping his chin with a napkin. But I found my fingers lingered a little too long...
