You and John walked along the train tracks looking for any sign of the yellow paint that was used to write the code. You moved your flashlight so you could see the ground in front of you. Dots of yellow began to appear on the tracks.
"John." you said and motioned toward the trail.
The two of you followed it to a brick wall that was full of the Chinese numbers. You whipped out your phone and took a picture of it, making sure you could see every detail.
"We need to find Sherlock." you stated as you stuffed your phone back in your pocket. The two of you began to run to locate Sherlock. John tried calling him several times but he never picked up.
You finally found him wandering down the tracks in the opposite direction.
"Answer your phone. I've been calling you." John said as you approached him.
"We found something. This way." you said and took the lead to go back to the wall of numbers.
You came back to find it had been pained over with black paint.
"I don't understand, it was just here. We saw it!" you said, exasperated.
Sherlock stepped in front of you and took your head in his hands. "Close your eyes." he commanded.
"What? Why?" you asked, very confused with his gesture.
"I need you to concentrate." he replied.
"Why didn't you choose John to do this to?" you asked.
"Because your memory is slightly better than his." he said quietly. "Now, can you remember the painting?" he asked, starting to spin you around.
"Yes." you replied rather quickly.
"Really?" Sherlock said, not believing you.
"Mhm." you replied.
"Because the average human memory is only 62% accurate." he said.
"That's a nice statistic." you commented, having fun with him.
"Can you remember it?" he asked urgently.
"Well, if you would stop spinning me I could get to my phone and show you a picture of it." you said with a smirk.
Sherlock stopped and let go of your head, slightly embarrassed with his actions.
You pulled your phone out and handed it over. He slowly took it from your hands and began to examine the picture.
"I'm not an idiot Sherlock." you said.
"Well, it's just something that I wouldn't think to do." he said under his breath.
"It's a good thing you have me then." you said with a smile.
