"We must have been staring right at it!" Sherlock exclaimed.

"At what?" John asked.

"The book, John! The book!" Sherlock said as he threw on his coat and scarf. "Sou Lin began to translate the message for us."

"I'll come with you." you suggested and followed Sherlock out the door.

He flew down the stairs and out the front door to hail a taxi, but it drove past. As he jumped down the steps, he ran into a couple with a book in their hands. It fell to the ground. Sherlock spun around to pick it up and immediately apologized. The couple continued on their way.

"Was that the London A-Z book?" you asked curiously.

"Yes." Sherlock breathed, still watching the roads of Baker Street for a cab.

Then it seemed as though a light went off inside of Sherlock's mind. He turned and chased down the couple that he had run into. He ripped the book out of their hands and frantically flipped through the pages. That was when you realized that that was the book. You joined Sherlock as he found the first word.

"Deadman! You were threatening to kill them!" he exclaimed.

"What does the message say?" you asked.

He began to flip to the specified pages and wrote down each word as he found them.

"Nine mill for jade pin, dragon den, black tramway." he read.

"What do you think it means?" you asked.

"They're offering nine million to anyone who can find them a jade pin, and they say to meet them at the black tramway." he explained then ran back to the flat to tell John.

You chased after him, trying to stop him from interrupting John's date again. You came into the sitting room to find Sherlock staring at the windows. Another cipher. They took John and Sarah. Sherlock began to find what the code said and located exactly where they were.

"The tramway. Come on." he said.

He took a hold of your hand and lead the way. He took you through street after street until you had come to the right one.

"Don't say anything and stay down. If the fighting starts, come in and see what you can do." he instructed you.

You nodded your head and hid back behind the wall.

"I'm not Sherlock Holmes!" John shouted.

"I don't believe you." a woman answered.

"You really should, you know." Sherlock said from the tunnel.

The woman lifted her gun, ready to fire at Sherlock. He ducked behind another wall.

"You shouldn't fire that in here. It's an automatic. The bullet could ricochet. Might even bounce off of the wall and hit you." Sherlock warned.

He jumped out of his hiding spot and sacked one of the body guards. He made his way inside and began to untie Sarah, but the other body guard began to choke him. You ran from your hiding place and came to help. You immediately went for the guard. You kneed him in the torso, then knocked him on the jaw, but it wasn't enough to knock him out. You noticed John moving toward the contraption that would fire at any second. The guard swung his fist at you, but you dodged it at just the right moment. You hit him again with just enough force to knock him back. John pushed the weapon away from Sarah and it fired, piercing the body guard in his stomach. He dropped to his knees and then his side. You looked around for anyone else, but they had all fled the scene.

"Don't worry. Next date won't be like this." John assured Sarah as Sherlock continued to untie her.

You went over to your brother to help him loose also.

"Are you okay?" you asked.

"Yea, I'm fine." he replied.

You looked at the side of his head to find where he had been hit.

"How about your head?" you asked.

"I'm alright, really." he answered.

"Alright." you said with a smile as you untied the last rope.

You walked over to Sherlock to see how he and Sarah were doing. She was shaking uncontrollably and sobbing. Sherlock seemed alright.

"Dimmock should be here soon." you informed Sherlock.

He seemed to tense at the new inspector's name. "Okay." he answered rather stiffly.

You smiled at his disliking of Dimmock.
