After he left I was alone with my thoughts. I had nothing to do but sit and plot my escape wich wasn't very likely given the circumstances...wait a sec...that idiot! I thought with glee for there on the floor was the key to the door and on the chains on my leg allowed me enough reach to grab it!

Now I know your probably thinking wow how convenient but hey you work with what you got right? Things are looking up finally! So I fiddle around and take my shoes off to be able to fully grab the key with my toes.

After some struggle I managed to get the first shackle off and then the second. Now the tricky part was getting the keys up to my hands to free them. I had to preform a series of awkward position and poses but after what felt like an eternity I managed to get my hands free. I took a look around my surroundings once more and found that there was indeed still nothing in the cell to use for a weapon. Well there was the demon statuettes.

"I suppose they'll have to do" I say aloud. I grab the statuettes and place one in my pocket with the other in my right hand.

I use the key to open the door and find a sleeping guard outside my door. I had no need to kill him so I took both his swords and moved him in the cell. I couldn't risk him waking up.

I began to walk down the long incredibly dark corridor corridor and it was then I began to hear a sound that I would never forget or hear the end of for a time after that. There was a faint breeze and an unnerving whistle that made my hair literally stand on end.

My enhanced vampire nose smelled her before I'd seen her. For some reason I could actually sense her presence with another sense I couldn't quite explain. I can't take this anymore!

"Show yourself. I know you are there!" I shouted into the darkness.

Silence. And then...

"Greetings to you too my child." Was her response. Her voice was like silk and it had such warmth in it that it would turn the coldest part of the night warm.

"Why have you come here?" I ask feeling a bit of nervous energy. For one doesn't just talk to the vampire queen there's alway a catch and it's usually not good for the poor fool unlucky enough to end up in her presence.

"Why one might also ask you why you have left your cell. Surely you know it is safer in there than out here? In your pathetic attempt at escape you have escaped the Web only to run into the jaws of the spider herself".

I couldn't tell whether she was threatening me or being genuine in her advice. One thing was for sure though I wanted answers and she was going to give me them.....

A/N Hey guys I wonder what Charles is willing to do to get his answers and I wonder why the queen is visiting him.
