Forgetting yesterday

(Chapter Thirty- Nine)

Chapter Thirty-nine.

I sat in front of the mirror in my bedroom and began to apply my foundation, when Niall approached me from behind and wrapped his arms around me, kissing my neck gently. "Niall" his name fell from my lips, "Please come back to bed?" He begged still kissing my neck. It felt amazing and for a second I had considered climbing back into bed with him, but I couldn't. "I can't.." I moaned "I have to go to work, and I promised Kate that I would go dress shopping with her once I'm finished." I explained. "So you're going to be gone all day again?" Niall pulled his lips away from my neck and spoke with sadness, "I'm sorry, I promise I wont be too long, I'll be as fast as possible" I said still applying my foundation. "Why don't I pick you up from work and I can go with you?" his face lit up with the idea. "Really? You want to go wedding dress hunting, with Kate and me?" I questioned, "Well, I don't want to be without you all day again today." He said with a cute smile. "Well how about I text Kate to bring Alfie and after Kate and I finish shopping we can go to grab some food?" I said as I applied a light layer of mascara. "That sounds good" Niall replied, helping me off the chair.

"Leigh, do you want to finish early? We aren't really that busy, I'm sure I could manage?" Gabi asked as I stood behind the counter. "Are you sure?" I asked in surprise, "Yeah, go on, get out of here" She smiled as I grabbed my military style jacket and headed towards the door.

I whipped my phone from my pocket and phoned Niall, "Hey babe, what's up?" he spoke through the phone, "I finished early I was just wondering if you could collect me?" I questioned, "Sure, I'll be there in about ten minutes.. I have some news" Niall spoke excitedly, "News? What news?" I eagerly questioned, "It's a surprise, I'll tell you when I collect you!" He spoke before we exchanged I love you's and he hung up.

We pulled into the malls large parking lot and parked Niall's car. "So are you going to tell me your news?" I questioned eagerly, "Well, I was going to wait until later but... I got a job!" Niall spoke happily, I jumped up and down clapping my hands together, "That's great babe, when are you starting?... Wait where are you working?" I questioned with confusion. "The gym in town" he said happily. My face dropped slightly, "Oh.." I sighed quietly. "What''s wrong?" Niall asked taking my hand, "Oh nothing... It's just that, you got a job... At a gym... Where all the attractive, fit, toned, sweaty, hot girls go to work out.." I spoke with jealousy. "Is Leigh Baker, jealous?!" Niall questioned sarcastically, "N-no, I... Am... What I meant is.." I stumbled on my words, making me blush. "Hey, no need to be jealous... You're the only attractive, fit, toned, sweaty, hot girl I need in my life" He spoke with a seductive smile. I smiled back, before taking he hand and kissing him hard.

"Come on, I found the cutest bridesmaid dress ever! You just have to try it on, I'm almost certain it's the one I want you to wear." Kate spoke excitedly as I reached the mall. "I'll call you once we're done" I told Niall, I turned to kiss him but I was suddenly pulled away by Kate "Come on!" she practically yelled. "Bye" Niall mouthed as I was dragged away by Kate.

"Really?" I spoke suddenly as Kate stood holding the dress in her hands. It was a pumpkin orange maxi halterneck, which had a diamante band around the waist of it. "It's cute" Kate defended the dress, "Sure it is, if I want to look like an oversized pumpkin in Hollywood.." I stated insulting the dress once more. "Just try it on, I bet you'll like it!" Kate's hands held out the hideous dress, waiting for me to grab it. I walked towards the dressing room with the material in my hands, Kate followed me.

I whipped open the curtain, "I can't even look.." I spoke with my eyes covered. Kate gasped, "It's beautiful.." she stated quietly. I pulled my hands from my eyes and starred at my reflection in the mirror across the way. It really was beautiful, it fit me perfectly, and hid the baby bump. Orange really was my colour, it highlighted my skin tone and brought out my eyes. A small smile crept across my face, "Oh you like it" Kate jumped excitedly, "I knew you would" she finished before I walked back into the changing room. "Are you sure you want your bridesmaid to wear pumpkin orange?" I questioned taking the dress off. "Yes, I knew it was perfect from the moment I saw it" Kate spoke enthusiastically. "Now hurry up, I have to find my perfect dress" She yelled. "Okay Bridezilla, give me a minute!" I said with sass.

After hours of dress searching Kate was about to give up, until I spotted a sheath dress, which had too thick straps, with a heart shaped neckline. The waist had a band of clear diamonds, like the bridesmaid dress, and it was silk. "What about this one?" I asked Kate as I pointed at the dress. "Oh wow, it's beautiful, but look at the price.." Kate said as her face dropping slightly. "Kate, this is your big day, it happens once in a lifetime, are you really going to show up in a cheap ass dress that you didn't even want?" I questioned Kate and her smile grew wide. "You're right!" She spoke happily as she went to try on the dress.

"Oh wow, this is defiantly the one" Kate stated through the curtain. She pulled it back to reveal herself in the dress. It was amazing on her. It hugged her petite figure and showed her curves in all the right places.

Once we had the dress paid for, I phoned Niall to let him and Alfie know we were finished shopping. We met them at the main door, and decided to go grab some food.

"Alfie and I have decided on a date for our wedding" Kate spoke as we sat around the table in the old spaghetti factory. "Really? When?" I questioned, "Next Month, we were thinking the nineteenth?" Kate spoke excitedly. I began to choke on the swig of water I had previously taken, "Do you want me to be capable of fitting into the dress?" I questioned, Kate just looked at me in confusion, "Kate I'm pregnant, this thing doesn't stay the same size forever, it will be even bigger next month" I complained Niall looked at me, as if to say "This isn't your day, its hers". I stopped myself, "Okay, I guess we better start planning" I smiled.

"I'll call around tomorrow, to organize everything with you." I hugged Kate goodbye as I spoke. Niall grabbed my hand and we walked towards the car. "Thank God, we're going home.. I thought today would never end.. Don't get me wrong, I had so much fun, but it's nice knowing I can go home and relax" I spoke to Niall as we walked through the parking lot. "Oh we're not going home to relax." Niall said as we stopped at the car. "Really? Then what are we doing?" I stupidly asked. Niall pushed himself against me, as I leaned against his car. He brought his face to mine and kissed my jawline before moving his lips to my neck where he left soft kisses. His teeth then grazed across my neck and he began to suck on the skin, causing it to turn red. A gentle moan fell from my lips, as his tongue rubbed across the sore, red skin on my neck. "I think you understand now" He smiled before he opened the passenger door and waited for me to get it.
