The sun rose from the east–
Wearing its glorious crown of fire. The place embraced the light, and
The sun stood up until I can't reach it anymore.I sat there and waited for the moon.
Before I judge who is the brightest–
I need to witness both.I ignored the searing heat coming from the sun.
I ignored it as it licked me with its fiery stare. And oh! Here comes the moon!
I saw the sun surrendered and hid behind the mountains! The moon, however, is not alone.
He is with his army of stars! How convenient!
I felt how warmth became cold as ice.
I saw how bats embraced the moonshine. The night is long, compared to the day.
The moon is cool, compared to the sun.
The moon's with the stars, the sun's alone.
The sun however, is stronger than any moon.
As I listed the comparisons of night and day,
of moon and sun–
I realized I hadn't wink a bit of sleep.
So I rested my eyes close,
and the moonlight guided me to dreamland.Tomorrow, the sun and I, we will face again.
And the moon will surrender.
