My Victoria was slowly being eaten by night.
My mind in tides– I said what I have to say;
Stay, stay, I'll be forever your knight.She was suffering but she's up for a fight,
Her kindred asked (they have been at the bay);
My Victoria was slowly being eaten by night.Everyday, she strains autumn all her might.
But the flowers started to fall during May!
Stay, stay, I'll be forever your knight.Her gaze fell onto mine, said she's alright.
She has a lot to say, but all she's got was 'hey',
My Victoria was slowly being eaten by night.Then the last petal fell, and gone was the light.
Tears fell not, but my heart just wanted to say;
Stay, stay, I'll be forever your knight.Now all is gone– all but my Victoria's blurry sight.
Old mares has visited me– then entered a play:
My Victoria was slowly being eaten by night!
Stay, stay, I'll be forever your knight.
