Her Revenge (Cancelled Only 8 Chapters Written)

Chapter 8. Rage

   Adam finished his examination on Emily and he stored his supplies away. Emily walked away from Adam shielding her face away from him.
   "Emily what's wrong with you." Adam asked worriedly.
   She walked towards the window and slightly turned her face.
   "P-please stay b-back." Emily said with a devilish tone. She turned back to the window, her hair turned to an angry, purple flame. Adam inched towards her but before he could reach her she quickly turned around.
   She was completely off. Her face had turned completely skeletal and she had a wide, blackened grin on her face. Both of her eyes were now hollow with a white glow to them.
   "Leave me alone! I don't want to hurt you!" Emily backed away from Adam, she was twitching angrily but she was trying to hold herself back. She burst through the window and off she flew into the night sky.
   "E-Emily?" Adam backed onto his bed. "I have to find out what's going on."
   Adam grabbed his bag and put in his notebook and a few snacks. He snuck out of the back door and went to search for Emily.
   He walked down the quiet, dark streets looking for any signs of Emily. He walked for what felt like a mile. He kept looking around for signs and noticed a bush with a small bit of flame to it. He walked towards the bush to only notice a street of trees and bushes burnt to ashes, some still a flame. He followed the trail of fire and ashes until he reached a school park. The name was Wood creek park.
   Adam snuck in through a black, fancy gate near a bush. He walked down the lit up path coming face to face with a giant oak tree with trails of flames going up it. He new from the flames Emily was somewhere in that tree, but how would he get there.
   Emily sat in the top branches of the tree and cried.
   "Why did this happen to me? I didn't want to end up like this. WHY?! ROGER. THAT BASTARD, I WANT HIM KILLED! I WANT HIS DEATH MORE BRUTAL THAN MINE!!!!" Emily screamed causing her hair to light a flame once more burning the leaves above her.
   "I'm a monster." Emily said weakly. "What if I kill or hurt Adam? I shouldn't exist if I know how powerful I am. I just want my life back with my family. I want to see them again, along with my friends. God please, let me join you in heaven.
   "Emily? Are you up there?" Adam yelled into the tree.
   She was silent, but Adam could feel her presence. Emily tried to calm her angry flames before showing herself but she couldn't. Adam sat down at the bottom of the tree and waited. A few hours went by and he fell asleep.
   Adam awoke to a cool breeze, pale light from the sunrise warming his face. He felt a light weight on his left side, he looked over to see Emily fast asleep and cuddled onto him. He grew a small blush on his cheeks, leaning his head against hers. He tried to wake her up but she wouldn't budge.
   Adam sat up and noticed a middle aged man walking towards him. He tried to hide Emily.
   "Hey kid, waddya doing here so early in the morning?" The man said aggravatedly.
   "Oh um... hehe I kinda fell asleep here last night." Adam replied.
   "Why were you here last night after hours?"
   "I'm sorry I didn't know the time."
   "Alright I won't tell anyone if you leave now, I'll get fired." The man walked away.
   "That was weird, how didn't he see Emily? Am I the only one who can see her?" Adam asked himself.
   Adam stood up and tried waking Emily up, she still wouldn't move. He picked her up and carried her home. He snuck into the back door of his house and tip-toed up the squeaky stairs. He opened up his bedroom door and layed Emily on the bed to rest, she had a rough night. He sat next to her and held her hand as she slept.
   "I feel bad for you Emily, your life shouldn't have been taken away from you at 16. I'm going to help you get revenge no matter what it takes. I will test your abilities and see what you can do to get back at Roger and hopefully pass on." Adam said to himself.
   Emily sat up to give Adam a kiss on the cheek and hugged him.
   "Thank you Adam, I heard everything." Emily said.
   Adam's face grew a bright red.
   "You're welcome Emily. I promise I'll help you."
