"It's so dark, so cold... where am I?" Emily said with a deep breath. "Everything feels so different. My hair feels so light, almost like nothing's there. It almost seems to be glowing in this dark void. I don't think there's ground wherever I am. Am I falling? Am I floating? Wait... what's that noise?"
There was a loud noise coming from the stairs. It sounded like crying.
"Where could she be? She's been gone for a week, she would never miss her sweet 16." The lady cried. It sounded like her mother.
   "I miss my baby girl..."
Emily cried along with her mother alone in the darkness. She was scared. She was trapped.
The sound of crying faded into silence. The silence continued for what felt like decades. Emily was lonely and sad. What happened to her was cruel and brutal. She only hoped that maybe someone could save her, or she could have done something to prevent this. Finally she started to hear footsteps heading up the stairs. It has been so long before she'd heard anything.
The noises sounded like boxes and moving furniture. The sounds moved back and forth, only to end in silence once more.
"Oh no... please don't tell me they're moving!"
Emily's mother and father came into the room, she could hear the sorrow in their voices.
"Goodbye sweetie... I miss you." Said her Mother
"Bye little bug, I love you. I can't believe it's been two years now..." Her father said.
Their footsteps trailed off into silence once more. The sound of a moving truck started down the road. All was quiet. All was gone.
"N-no! P-please! I'm still here! Come back!" Emily screamed into the darkness.
She tried to leave but no matter what, she was surrounded by a pitch black emptiness. She curled into a ball and began to cry. As she lifted her palms to cover her eyes, she gasped as she noticed her right arm was completely skeletal. This reminded her of exactly what had happened. She wiped her tears and felt the right side of her face was skeletal as well. She yelled in anger as she was reminded of Roger and her hands and hair grew into a bright, furious, and purple flame. She used them to find her way through the void but still nothing...
Two weeks went by and finally, Emily heard a sound come from downstairs.
   "What? Who's here?" said Emily.
No one could hear her but she tried anyway. She heard the bedroom door open, followed by the sound of a chair and a bed being folded out onto the floor.
"Here son, unpack your things and find something to do when you're done." said a man's voice.
"Sure thing dad." said a young teen boy with a nerdy tone.
Emily heard him unpack his things and put his clothes in the closet, followed on by glass noises.
"What's he doing with glass?" Emily asked herself.
"Dad I'm finished! What do I do now?" asked the boy
"Find a board game or something, just keep yourself busy son." the man answered.
He went into the closet and looked for something to do. As he was rummaging through his closet, a long, thin box fell onto the ground.
"Ouija? Hm, guess I'll play." the boy said.
He opened the box and pulled out the board.
INSTRUCTIONS: Never play alone, never play in a graveyard, and always say goodbye.
"Well I have no one to play this with so I guess it's just me. Wait, where's the planchette? He looked to his left to see a bloodied planchette fase from the floor. He jumped with fear but tried to brush it off.
"Well, let's start. Friends we gather, hearts are true, spirits near, we call to you."
Emily looked up and could see a bright light. She gained a smile and flew to it as fast as she could.
   "Are there any spirits here?"
The planchette moved to yes. The board began to shake and the boy backed away.
   *CRASH!*
Emily's ghostly figure flew out from the board, her hair a raging purple flame and her fists clenched with the same flame.
   "Oh. My. Gosh." he said

               Emily has returned.
