*The next day at school*

Selena: *putting books into her locker*

Demi: *yelling* Selena! Selena! *goes up to her*

Selena: *turns around* You know you don't have to yell my name down the hallway. *giggles*

Demi: Ughh I don't care. Joe asked me to prom.

Selena: Aww but wasn't it kinda obvious.

Demi: Yeah but he did it so romantically. He put out roses in my backyard saying Prom?

Selena: Aww he's so sweet.

Demi: Yeah and our 3 year anniversary is the same day as prom.

Selena: He's probably going to plan something really romantic.

Demi: I know I can't wait. How about Justin?

Selena: What about him?

Demi: Has he asked you out to prom yet?

Selena: Sadly no.

Demi: Awww don't worry sweetie. I'm sure he'll ask you.

Selena: Yeah

*Selena's POV*

I haven't seen Justin since yesterday morning. Did he ditch me because I mentioned prom? Does he still even want to be with me? Ughh I wish Justin would just talk to me.

*Lunchtime*

Selena: Hey Dems. Have you seen Justin?

Demi: No but I'm sure he'll show up soon. *hugs her*

Selena: Yeah *steps back* I'll be right back. *goes to her hiding spot*

Demi: Selena! *about to go after her*

Joe: No. Don't!  Let Sel take a breather.

Demi: Alright.

*At the field*

Selena: *on her way to the hiding spot* Ughh I don't even understand boys. *sees Nick* Nick?

Nick: *throwing a football, turns to look at her* Oh hey Sel. *yells* Good catch bro take a break.

Selena: *shocked* You play football?

Nick: Well my dad played football with me and my bros. But I'm not no pro like Joe.

Selena: *giggles* Well you look like a pro to me.

Nick: So why are you out in the field? School lunch ain't doing any good for you?

Selena: No its not that I just needed some fresh air.

Nick: Boy problems? *sits down*

Selena: *sighs* How did you know?

Nick: Come sit down. *Selena sits next to him* Sel I know everything about you. You're upset so I kinda figured. So what's wrong with you and Justin?

Selena: *puts her head on his shoulders* It's a long story.

Nick: Well we have 45 minutes so spill.

Selena: *sighs* Well long story short  yesterday me, Justin, Demi and Joe were talking and prom came up and Justin was surprised prom is so soon and since yesterday morning I haven't seen Justin at all not even a text message or a call. I think he might break up with me.

Nick: Wow really Sel? I think you're overreacting. I just think Justin might be nervous to ask you.

Selena: But why? We are dating so he shouldn't have to worry about rejection.

Nick: *sighs* Just give him some time.

Selena: *smiles* Okay thanks for the talk Nick. You're the best. *hugs him*
