"Into the lounge" says mom.

"What's going on?" I say.

"Your mother and I have something to tell you," says my dad.

"Yes, we need to tell you what really happened to your birth parents," says my mother.

"I already know what happened, they left me outside your door because they didn't want me." I reply coldly.

"No, sweetheart, we just told you that so you wouldn't be depressed about what really happened," says mom.

"Okay, so what happened," I reply suspiciously.

"Your parents didn't abandon you. They were killed by The Malum." says dad

"The Mal-uh-what?" I say. This is starting to get scary; my parents murdered when I was before I really knew them!

"The Malum, they are an evil group of creatures that want nothing more than to destroy the world." says mom

"So let me get this strait, my parents did want me, but were killed by this Malum group?"

"Yes" answers mom.

"Okay but what I don't understand is how my parents were involved?"

"Your parents were probably the most powerful people alive in their time so the Malum wanted them to be on their side. Of course your parents said no but the Malum wouldn't take no for an answer. So the Malum decided they wanted you instead because twice the power is even better. Your parents wouldn't let them have you so they attacked almost killing all three of you in the process." explains dad.

"Yes, but they killed your father as he was saving your mother time to escape. Your mother knew of only one place to go : our house because you see your mother and I were best friends. Your mother never made it but you did. At first I didn't know what happened so I went on a walk and found a clearing with twelve black rose bushes in a circle and in the center of the circle there was a violet rose bush and I knew what happened, your mother had used up all of her life energy in making a homing rocket spell to get to this house, which killed her and the twelve Malum members." finished mom. Wow, that was a lot of information, but I know what I want to do.

"Can we see the clearing?" I ask.

"Of course dear." replies mom.

My mother tells my dad to stay with the young ones while she takes me to the clearing. We walk in silence until I can't take it anymore and I ask her,

"Can I go ahead?"

"Of course, it's just up ahead." she replies with nervousness in her voice. I take off and fly until I see the circle of rose bushes. I see my mother's and I almost plummet to the ground in sadness. I land on the ground and rush to my mother's bush. I can see my mother's face in the bush and then the floodgates open. I sit there and cry and as my tears touch the ground around the bush it becomes my mother : first the face, then the body and wings and horns and then the smile... that warm loving smile of a mother and she speaks to me saying

"I know you are sad dear, but cheer up. You have an entire life ahead of you."

"I know mother, but I have just realized what really happened to you and father, and it has made me so weary."

"My time in this form is short, but don't worry. You will never be alone on your journeys. Oh, I almost forgot. Your father and I have a gift for you." As she said this, a glowing sword made of a bright violet metal appeared and I reached out and touched it. It felt ghostly at first but then it became more and more solid, and became like a part of my body.

"This sword has been passed down throughout the centuries as a relic of the Avem family. It will help you defeat any enemy of the Avem lineage. You can never lose it for it will always return to your hand in a time of need. Also it will automatically change into a ring when you aren't using it. Now I must go, and remember: your father and I will always love you." I sit and cry, and think about all that she has said and I can't help but wonder what life would have been like if my mother and father had never been murdered and if I had never lived with the Pisces'.

"I know dear I miss her every day to but you must be strong after all you'll be starting your first year of I.A.M.A.O.," says my adoptive mother.

"Let's go home," she says. We walk back together in complete silence and I look at the sword my mother and father gave me I trace my fingers over the engravings and swing it around. This sword is amazing it's like an extension of my body. I try channeling a little bit of magical energy into the sword and it amplifies the magic turning it into a beam of destruction. Uh, oh I might have just lit the entire forest on fire.

"Really Jasper," My mom is not happy.

"Get up there and find me some water," she directs. I fly, up, up, up until I can see all of the forest I find the nearest body of water: a small pond, and dive back to my mother.

"Small pond twenty meters east," I direct. We both run there before the rest of the forest lights up in flame. Since my mother is a mudkip she can tell water what she wants it to do, but she has to be very specific.

"Alright water, up, douse the fire in this forest only then return to your pond." she states clearly. Right after she says this the water goes up, then douses all the fire and comes back to it's original pond. Then she looks at me and says

"Never do that again."
