Unknown POV
"No way Tamim." She said angrily. "I am never gonna try to talk to him."
Tamim rubbed his tired eyes. Oh she is stubborn! He thought.
"I have already told you. He acted that way because he wanted you to stay away from him so that -"
"Which is exactly what I will do. I will stay from him. End of story."
Tamim knew it was useless to try talking some sense into her. It had been exactly eight days since she came to him at the hospital crying. She had told him how bad Haytham had treated her. He didn't support what he did but he understood him. The guy was hurt as much as she was.
"Aaliyah, I am sure he loves you." Tamim said for the thousand time.
"Yeah right." Aaliyah rolled her eyes.
"I knew it the moment you introduced me as your husband. He stiffened and whatever light that was in his eyes dimmed." He explained all over again. "And I know you feel the same."
"I don't have any feelings for that dumb English; fake Arabian man."
"Oh really?" Tamim's eyebrows shot up. "Then why are you so mad at him?"
He knew he had dropped a missile with that. He watched as her shoulders sagged. She looked at him and the tears started streaming again. Tamim took her hand and gave it a little squeeze.
"He will be leaving tomorrow. It's either you fix this and never have to regret it or don't and spend the rest of your life wishing you fixed it." And with that he left her on her own to think it through.

Haytham's hotel room was a mess. He had nothing much to pack. He stared at himself in the mirror. His hair was really long and his beards looked messy. He knew he would have to fix that before seeing his mother. She would probably have a fit if she sees him in that state.
Ariana was back to her old self. Ordering people around. The fact that she was going back probably gave her renewed energy. Haytham wondered if she was over him. He was too blinded by his sadness to realise that his best friend, Jem, was falling for Ariana. Seeing her broken and week made Jem feel drawn to her.
Haytham couldn't believe he had been there for six months. The guy staring back at him on the other side of the mirror looked sad. He could see his mother's ocean blue eyes staring back at him. Oh and that nose! The exact replica of his father's. He had missed him so much. Most children would be confused if they were born in a 'confused' family (as a lot of people explain his family) but not him. He grew up well without getting confused. His mother being a westerner and his father an Arab, he adopted traits from both communities.
"Wow." Jem walked in and exclaimed. "You should really see a barber."
"Is it that bad?" He asked.
"Are you kidding me! You look like a man gone ape." Jem laughed. Haytham could tell that he seemed different but he didn't know why. Jem on the other hand felt sad for his friend. What he was doing was not fair to himself or even Aaliyah.
"Haytham don't you -"
"No I don't want to talk about that matter." He interrupted his friend knowing very well what he was driving at.
"This is you last chance to make things right. You have just one day." Jem blocked Haytham from his reflection. "You don't want to regret this for the rest of life, mate."
"What can I possibly do now? The girl hates me. She calls me sir!" Haytham ran his hand through his hair. "I have stayed away from her for long. One day shouldn't be a problem."
Jem thought his friend has made up his mind and nothing can change that but he still pushed it.
"Alright." Jem said. "Don't you miss her? Her smile. Or is it her beautiful crystal eyes. Anyone can get lost in there. Oh not to forget her laughter. It is -"
"Please stop." Haytham finally said.
"Listen mate," Jem said in a serious tone. "You came all the way here for this girl. At first you didn't want to admit that you love her, but now you have admitted. Make things right with her. At least you would have tried."And with that he left.
Haytham argued within himself. Finally he made up his mind and so did Aaliyah.
