(A/N) Happy New Year everyone!!! Hope you all had a great holiday break and got loads of gifts and stuff! Just so you know until I get some responds on if I should keep updating Duck Tape Girl this will be the last chapter I put up for a while. And if i dont get any responds by the end of the month I will most likely take the story down all together. Happy Reading!

CHAPTER 15

This takes place at the same time as soo as Rach' Walked away in the last chapter

Niall's POV

Ugh the one girl I really fancied ended up being rubbish. It's just my luck (get it? No? oh well) why can't I just find a trustworthy girl in this day and age. Wait what was she saying at the end of the arguement ? I was to mad to listen to her explination. 

" So this is awkward." Zayn says finally breaking the silence.

"What do you mean?" Louis asks looking at the plate of food he had gotten in digust.

"I mean that not only was she our ride but  Lauren, her best friend, is still here with us." he paused "Guys I think she was telling the truth. she looked really hurt when he accused her of cheating on him. Lauren would you know if she had a cousin named Kris or not?"

" Cheating on him but they weren't together" Liam asked kind of confused. 

"well i would say they were since they were kissing in the parking lot." Harry said. Liam's face drained of the color it once held and then just looked down at his hands holding no expression on his face. lauren took this oppertunity to talk.

" To tell ya the truth. We don't really talk about her family much. I honestly don't even know what her mom's first name is, I just call her Mrs. M"

"You guys are best friends and both of you have never talked about your family ever?" Harry cut in making Lauren look down and speak quietly.

"she probably knows everything to know about my family because she listens to me ramble on about them getting on my nerves and birthdays and not once has she ever stopped me to talk about her family. when ever we have sleep overs it is usually at my house. She would stop hanging out with me for 20 minutes to help my little brother with his homework if he asked her to and not ever did she complain or say anything bad towards my family. She would even stand up for them if she felt as though I was being to harsh towards them. she even got my parents an aniversery gift and helpped me buy mine when I didnt have the full amount on me. To be honest I think I can count on my hand how many times we have had a sleep over at her place. I just now realised that I am a terrible friend; its suprising how she has stuck by my side listening to me complaining for so long" 

"what are you going on about dont feel sorry for Rach' she just went out of her way to cheat on me! and over the phone no less" Niall said getting angry again. Liam just got up and left, not saying a word.

"Niall did you not listen to a word she said before she left" Harry barked at him.

"You know how I get ,so no" he replied 

" It was her female cos' calling from work telling her a hedgehog got hurt and that she would have to come in to fix it" Louis said taking sides with Harry.

They kept arguing over what she had said until everyone had finished eating except Liam who had yet to return.

Liam's POV

i walked away as soon as Niall had said they were together. I got this itch to puch him and knew that if i had stayed there after what happened not even 20 min ago. he would have to have some reconstuctive surgery. Im not a fighting type of person but in this case I would make an exception. 

I walked around trying to find where ever Rachael had wondered off to. I saw her just as she got up and walked away from the waitor who she looked like she loved very dearly. not in the type of way to make me jelous but in the type of way I look at my own sisters. She probably knew him for years to get that sibling bond and i just wanted to talk to his to see if there was anything I could do that he knew of to help her.

" excuse me" I asked politely

" Yes may I help you with something" he said obviosly recognising me but not going into a fan mode because he looked more like the type to jam out to some heavy rock. 

" yeah You know Rachael right?" 

"yeah " he said in a flat tone like he was ready to attack me.

" Uh i was just wondering if you knew which way she was going or where and knew any tricks to make her feel better or smile"

"are you the guy that called her Pathetic?" he said in a half snarl making me raise my hands half way to signal ' I surrender'

" No. That was said unfortunatly by one of my friends that apperantly 'dating' her" by the look on his face you could tell that not only was he sizing me up but also trying to tell if i was telling the truth or not.when he figured out i was being truthful he held his han out and introduced himself as Gino. 

After shaking his hand and introducing myself as well he told me that they were close by growing up together in a bad neighborhood for many years. He then told me that to make her smile give her complements in a subtle way that way she doesnt look away. And not to mention the golden rule was to just be myself and be who I really was in front of her or she would never let me in the protective walls she had built up many years ago.

I thanked him for his advice and quickly went to where she had parked the car just before entering the resturant. I thought she would have left but to my surprise she was still there.

I lightly knocked on the passenger window and she looked up unlocking the door. after getting situated in the car next to her I apologized .

"why are you apologizing? " she asked her eyes were slightly red and puffy.

" I thought you would have left by now. and I want to say sorry that Niall was being that way he is so stupid for say those false things towards you."

"I cant leave you all here you would get bombarded by fans and not to mention how would you guys get back home"

"You are truely the nicest person I have ever seen. And dont deny it eather because who else in the world would stick around in the parking lot to wait for the people who yelled at her? No one thats who." 

She just looked at the steering wheel. 

"I think you are too unselfish for your own good"

"Liam I think we need to talk about what happened earlier this morning. You know with my black out"
