Chapter 26

A few days later (1st October)

I woke up and tried to feel for Chord. All I got was a handful of duvet and sheets. I sighed. It was my birthday and I wanted a birthday kiss from Chord. I was just about to get out of bed when Chord walked in still wearing his boxers. I smiled since he had a tray in his hand. He set the tray down on my lap and kissed me good morning.

"Happy Birthday Darling!" he said and gave me another kiss. "I made you breakfast" he said with a smile, which automatically made me smile.

"Thanks baby" I said as Chord was getting back in bed and cuddling me. I looked down at the tray to see what he had made. There were a couple pancakes on a plate with syrup and fruit. There was also some toast which I imagined was for him as I would be to full to eat it. There was a glass of orange juice and a tiny single vase with one red rose. I smiled and kissed him again before tucking in to the wonderful breakfast.

Once I finished eating and we had both changed I went out into the lounge to find balloons, banners and confetti everywhere. I smiled and sat down on the sofa. I was then attacked from behind and screamed. Freya and gripped me in a massive hug. Once Freya let go Harry also gave me and hug and they both wished me Happy Birthday.

"Okay now since it's your birthday I seem to recall some type of present giving." Freya pointed out which made me laugh.

"Yes I believe so" I replied with Freya and I giggling. Then all three of them disappeared and came back with cards and presents. Harry went first and gave me a card with a small present. I opened the card first and it was signed by all the members of one direction, since they were all in LA for the time being back going back with us on the 5th. I then opened the gift which was an IPhone case.

"Thanks Harry, I didn't really expect a gift. Really thank you." I said and gave him another quick hug.

"Ah it's no problem, I know you where moaning on about how you always drop your phone." He said with a shrug.

"Okay so next I want you to open a present from my Mom and Dad!" said Chord giving me a box and another card.

"Aww Chord you parents are the sweetest, but how did they know It was my birthday?" I asked him

"Well I might have told them." He said while looking down. I laughed at him and then opened the card and present. The card was a sweet card with a lovely handwritten message and for a gift ther was a bath set and a picture. It was a picture I didn't recognise but it was a great one. It was from the day I first met them and Chord was carrying me and spinning me round in a circle. I smiled at the picture and showed the rest of the group.

"Okay, Okay me next my sister!" said Freya giving me a box and a card. The card was homemade and had a picture of us from first school. It was dress up as characters from a book day; so Freya and I went as thing 1 and thing 2. We were wearing the red outfit with our faces painted white and a blue wig. We were in a hug and in the background was Taylor dressed as the cat in the hat looking confused. It made me laugh. I then opened the box and I gasped. All round the outside was our favourite things. From Cadburys dream white chocolate to a CD of busted. Then in the middle was a scrap book. I carefully lifted it and I opened the book. Inside there was page after page of picture going up in our ages. Starting off as bouncing babies, then to tumbling toddlers. It then went to pictures with Freya, Taylor and I, which had Marcy carefully cut out. Then pictures of proms and parties. There was a picture of Taylor and I at his leaving party which made me laugh since we were all so drunk. Pictures of the moving day and our work family. Then the pictures turned to modern day, with picture of Chord, Freya, Harry and I and pictures with that lot plus Dianna, Lea, Mark and Cory. The last picture was of the day at the theme park with just Freya and I. I then closed the book and on the cover was the words best friends for ever and I smiled. I had a couple tears in my eyes too.

"That is so sweet. Thank you so much!" I said and gripped Freya in a massive hug.

"Okay so now my turn. Now I know its going to be tough beating Freyas but I hope you like it." He gave me a card with a picture of us on the front. He only wrote a short message but it was cute. I then opened the present. Inside was a beautiful pink scarf it was beautiful.

"Wow Chord that's gorgeous, thank you so much!" I gushed.

"Well I have something else for you. I love you with all my heart. You're beautiful, your kind, your friendly, well you're everything I have ever wanted. I love you so much and I know I always will. Some people might say we are moving too fast but I don't care. I get this feeling whenever I'm around you. I get butterflies. I know we haven't been together but I know that you're the one." He said and got on his knee. My heart started to flutter and I smiled. "I know I'm meant to ask your parents first but since we are here I couldn't. So I did one of the next best things and I asked Freya. So Sophie Louise Crawford will you marry me?" he asked me with a brilliant smile.

"Yes, yes, yes YES!" I said getting louder with each word. Freya squealed and hugged Harry. Chord took the ring out the blue box, it was a tiffany's ring. It was a round diamond in the centre with two small circular sapphires on each side. It was absolutely stunning. He then put the ring on my finger and it fit perfectly. He stood up and I hugged him. I then jumped up and wrapped my legs round his waist. I planted loads of kisses on his lips then went into one passionate kiss. Once we finished kissing I kept my face close to his, so close so our noses touched. "I love you so much!" I said and he let me down. I then squealed myself. IM ENGAGED!
