Chapter 28

A Few weeks later

I spent the next couple days relaxing getting ready for my flight. Chord was going to come back with me and help me decide on what I want to take to the apartment with me. He was also going to meet my parents.

On the 5th of October we took our flight to England. We were only going to stay a couple days because Chord started filming for glee in mid-October. We arrived in London Heathrow early morning. Paparazzi were out and waiting snapping pictures. News has been going around about our engagement. Some saying we rushed into things yet some thinking it's great and wishing us luck. It was true, we had rushed into things. But we didn't see the point of waiting where we knew we were each others soul mate I didn't care what others thought. Haters gonna hate!

We arrived at our old apartment and Harry and Freya where already there packing. They had to take an early flight for work reasons. They were packing up Freya's room and I went straight to mine after saying hello. We packed all my clothes, Chord seemed to like doing the underwear. We then packed all my photos and everything else in my room. I then went into the lounge and discussed what we were going to do with the furniture and ornaments. We decided to sell all the large furniture which was fine with me and Freya was going to keep most of the ornaments. There was only a couple I was keeping like my glass guardian angel.

We ate lunch and dinner in the lounge watching old movies. Then me and Chord went to my room and fell asleep. It felt incredibly bare without my pictures and little things.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The next morning Chord and I woke early because we were driving down to Dorset so Chord could meet my parents. I was driving the car Chord gave me which we were going to sell too. As we got closer to my parents' house I started to felt nervous. My parents could be horrible sometimes. Chord saw my nerves and started to sing, which always calmed me down.

When we arrived at the house I parked on the concrete drive and walked to the door. I took a deep breath, rang the doorbell and planted a smile on my face. The door then opened and greeted me to my mother's face.

"Hi mum." I said with a smile going in to give her a hug. She gave me a very limp hug and welcomed us in. "Mum I would like you to meet Chord, Chord this is my mother Tanya."

"It's lovely to meet you Mrs Crawford" he said holding out his hand for a hand shake. I could see my mother look down her nose but take his hand loosely. We then walked into the lounge to find my father Mike sitting on the sofa.

"Daddy, I would like you to meet Chord, Chord this is my father Mike." They shook hands and we sat down on the other sofa. We were both nervous so we took each other's hand.

"So what do we owe the pleasure to see you Sophie and erm Chord was it?" asked my father while watching the news.

"Can't I visit my parents and let my boyfriend meet my parents?" I replied getting slightly annoyed. We were going to tell my parents later that we were engaged. "And yes his name is Chord!" I said while Chord stroked my back.

"What an... original name" my mum said with a odd face. I could tell she was going to push buttons. I looked at Chord to see if he was okay and he had a straight face. I looked him in the eye and nodded I was going to tell them now. It was now or never.

"Mum, Dad, Chord and I have some news. Well we now we haven't been dating long but I am completely and utterly in love with him. So we are engaged." I said with a smile. My parents face turned to shock.

"I know I was supposed to ask for permission and I am truly sorry that I didn't. If I had met you before I defiantly would off asked you." Said Chord with a smile

"Oh, Sophie I really don't think you should be doing this." Said my mum ignoring Chord completely. "I mean you have haven't been together long! Also did you hear Damian is back in the country? You two made such a cute couple!" said my mum.

"I love him that's all that matters, and I am not getting back together with Damian!" I said his name with a sneer.

"I mean you could wait a while. What's the rush? Your still young!" said my Dad being slightly nicer then my mother. But before I could speak my mother cut in.

"Your pregnant, he would marry you this quickly if you were not pregnant. I mean why a celebrity would marry you. No offence darlings but you're not the prettiest girl there is, are you?" said my mother and my face dropped. She was embarrassing me in front of Chord and tears where forming. However he saw this.

"No offence mam but I love your daughter and she is beautiful. She's not pregnant, we are waiting but one day we will hopefully start a family together."

"Mum, Dad. I came here to introduce you to my fiancé. I was going to invite you to my wedding and I wanted you dad to give me away. But well now I don't want you there. If you accept us then you are invited but at the moment I don't want you there. I want to say it's been great seeing you but that's a lie. So goodbye." I said taking Chord hand and walking out of the room leaving my parents speechless.

We were in the car and driving away quickly when Chord looked at me.

"What, did I do that wrong?" I asked

"Nothing baby but are you sure you don't want your parents at the wedding?" he replied.

"I would love them to be there but to be honest they were horrible. If they accepted us then I would of loved them at the wedding but they didn't. But anyway I have another plan!" I said leaving Chord with a confused look.

We drove back into London while singing along to the radio. Just as we were about to take a left to the apartments I took a right for Cindy's. We arrived in a busy car park and walked into the restaurant. I was welcomed back with hugs from all my co-workers and met the newbies. We sat into the booth and got took our orders by Freya. The food came quickly and once we ate I asked Chord to see if we could wait until closing time. He agreed and we had a long conversation about the wedding.

At closing time I asked Cindy and Dave to come sit with us in the booth. I introduce them to Chord and I took a breath.

"Okay so me and Chord have some news. Well I'm really sorry but in moving to LA."I said with a look down.

"Don't worry honey; we knew this would be happening! You two are in love and it would be a shame if you weren't together." Said Cindy with a heart-warming smile

"Thank you. But we do have some more news two. So on my birthday Chord engaged and I said yes. I took him to see my parents today, but my parents being my parents where well-being horrible; So I uninvited them to the wedding. The wedding won't be until summer and its going to be in LA but I was wondering if you would come and be my 'parents' for the day?" I asked them.

"That's great news and of course we will be your temporary parents!" said Cindy again

"Thanks again and Dave I was wondering if you would give me away?" I asked Dave

"Of course I will you're like a daughter to me!" he said. We finished our conversation then Chord and I said goodbye to everyone and left. When we arrived home after Freya it was late so Chord and I went straight to bed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our last day in London we made sure we had everything packed and then left for the airport. I didn't know how my things were going to get to America but the company we used was well trusted so I was fine with it. Harry and Freya went to the airport with us. In the car it was Freya and I in the back crying and hugging each other. We always lived close to each other. We were like sisters and I was going to miss her like crazy.

Just before we were about to board the plane I said goodbye to Freya.

"Im going to miss you so much!" I said while crying.

"Me too!" said Freya also crying.

"Okay, we have to stop the tears. Look at us. Okay sister I love you. I will see you in July and Augest for the wedding!" I said stopping my tears.

"I know, I know. I can't wait." Freya said sniffling stopping her tears too. Our flight was then called. I said goodbye again to Freya and Harry and gave them big hugs. I then took Chord hand and boarded the plane for my new life.
