Chapter 29

The next few months!

The next months went by quickly. On Halloween we went to Leas and Marks party. Because it was couples costumes Chord went as batman and I was a female Robyn. I spent thanks giving with Chords parents since I was new to this and didn’t really know what to do. They welcomed me to the family and it was a great day. For Christmas we stayed in. A week before we decorated the apartment and bought a tree. We watched Christmas movies and gave each other gifts on Christmas day. I cooked a small roast lunch and it was really enjoyable.

On Valentine’s Day we went to a small yet fancy restaurant. We then took a walk on the beach and went back to the apartment. Chord had gave me a bunch of red roses which was so sweet and put candles all-round the room for when we got back like our first date. For Chords birthday we went to Vegas. He invited lots of friends and we had a big party in the evening. It was great fun even though I stayed sober with Cory.

Mid-July

The wedding date was set for the 5th August. We were having the ceremony in a small church then moving the reception to a hotel on the beach. Almost everything was set from the table cloths to the flowers.  The only thing that was not set was the dresses and my hen party. Freya and the rest of my bridesmaids where organising the hen party and I was scared to find the result and hoped to god that it would be nothing like bridesmaids or the hangover.

Today Freya was flying over with Harry from England. We were going dress shopping tomorrow and I was so excited. I was driving to the airport singing along to the radio. Chord wanted to come back he was filming season four of Glee. I just pulled in to the airport and got out of the car. A few paparazzi where about but they didn’t bother me anymore.  I was inside the airport waiting for Freya and Harry while texting Chord; he was on his lunch break at the moment.  I just replied to my message when I heard a shout. I looked up to see Freya running towards me and almost hitting many people in the face. She was just about to reach me when a man stopped right in front of her.

“Hey, people walking here! Do you mind not just stopping in the middle of the airport? Thanks,” said Freya to the man making him angry.

“I am sorry about her she’s a little cranky before her morning coffee” I addressed to the man. He then with a huff moved out the way. I smiled and gave Freya a huge hug. “I have missed you sister. It has been way to long!” I said while realising her from my grip. I gave Harry a quick hug then helped with the bags. 

We were walking out of the airport to my car when Freya brought up the subject of my hen party. “Okay so I can’t wait for your hen party missy!” she said to me with a smirk

“Where are we going for the party? And please tell me there aren’t going to be stippers!” I said while giving her her a question glance.

“Well I can’t tell you now! And well there may or may not be strippers!” she said then bursting out in to giggles. 

When we arrived home Freya, Harry and I had a good catch up. Later Chord joined us and we ordered in take out. That night when I fell asleep I was giddy with excitement about tomorrow.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next morning I awoke and got ready for dress shopping. I wore a summer dress, my hair in a bun and no make-up since I was going to be changing a few times. I found Freya in the kitchen already and she gave me a piece of toast. It reminded me of when we used to live together. After breakfast I drove to the dress shop with Freya in the passenger seat. We were going to meet Dianna, Lea and Heather there.

We pulled into the car park to find the girls waiting outside of Lea’s car. I greeted them all with a hug, looped my arm through Freya’s and Heather’s arm and we walked into the shop. We went through the door and there was gorgeous dress after gorgeous dress but I had to find the prefect one.

We went for the bridesmaid’s dresses first. I wanted something perfect that suited all four of them. I was busy looking when I heard Dianna call my name. She came out of a changing room wearing a teal dress with a white under layer. It also had a white bow tied around the waist. It was perfect! I got Freya, Lea and Heather over to see what they thought. They all loved them and tried the dress on two. Once they were all wearing the dress and I thought they looked perfect.

It was now my turn to find my dress. I tried on dress after dress and could not find the perfect one. I was getting annoyed and was about to leave when I spotted something in the corner.  I walked over too it and gasped. I found my dress. It was a strapless dress with silver embroidery and diamantes.  It had a sweetheart neckline and a multilayer skirt with a short train. I smiled and tried the dress on. I walked out of the changing rooms and there was a short silence.  I was about to ask if they liked the dress when I was interrupted.

“Wow Sophie you look stunning!” said Lea with a heart-warming smile

“Yeah absolutely beautiful,” Added Freya with Dianna and Heather nodding. I changed back into my normal clothes and bought the dresses. Freya and I left the other girls in the car park and drove home singing along to the radio loudly.
