Chapter 29
Talia grips the sword. Zen tries to get her sword free but Talia doesn’t let her. Zen glares at her for a second before smiling. She lets go off her sword, leans down, and trips Talia. She falls on to the ground. Zen grabs her sword from the ground and points it at Talia.
“You sure got weaker since the last time we fought,” Zen laughs as she presses the sword into Talia’s neck. Blood started to fall down her neck. I grab a sword from the ground and I swing the sword at Zen. She quickly turns around and blocks me. She puts all her weight into each swing and it was getting hard for me to block her attacks.
“Cantalia just go,” Talia grabs Zen by her arms and holds her back.
“I can’t let you deal with this on your own,” I try to reason with her.
“I’m telling you to go not because I fear for your life but because I can deal with her all on my own. Go I have a feeling someone is going to need your help,” Talia smiles at me. I sigh. I turn around and run away. Be safe….
I take a left turn. I kept running and running. I couldn’t find anyone else in our group. Where are they? I keep running. My heart was beating like crazy. I feared death. I feared someone I care about dying. I turn another corner. My eyes widen at the sight in front of me. It was a dead Judas. His body was leaning against a bush that had black and red roses. I took a step toward him.
“Don’t you dare move,” Deroc presses a knife to my back. I stop moving.
“Why did this have to happen?” I ask as I kept my gaze on Judas.
“If you want to blame someone then blame Anally she is the one that killed him,” Deroc angrily retorts.
“You’re the ones that attacked us,” I look down.
“She had the option to get out of the fight alive, but she decided to keep fighting….and Judas died,” I felt the knife start shaking as he spoke.
“She regrets what she did,” I said as I slightly move forward.
“How do you know?” he yells. “If she truly regrets what she did then why did she kill him in the first place?”
“She felt betrayed….she trusted him and he betrayed her,” I walked toward Judas. I notice the roses were covered in blood. I detach the rose from the bush. I place it on Judas chest. “She was crying when I found her. She was also in a state of shock.”
I look at Deroc for the first time. He wasn’t crying but I could see how much he wanted to cry. I could see the pain that he was going through.
“You can cry. You can let all those emotion you keep hidden out,” I start walking toward him. “You don’t have to keep it all in.”
I walk past him and keep walking. I turn to look back at Deroc he was kneeling on the ground crying. How much pain have we all endured? How much suffering will we have to go through? I just kept walking. I guess one of the few sentences that keep going through my head is that I can’t let anyone else die.
Talia P.O.V
“Are you an idiot?” Zen ask me. “You clearly are no match against me.”
“I never though you could be so conceded,” I snap as I glare at Zen. “I wasn’t showing you my true strength.”
“Scared to show who you truly are in front of your sister?” Zen mocks.
