Liz's POV
We were now in Niall's car, on the way to my house. Honestly, I felt kind of bad after telling Niall we had to leave as soon as possible.
What if he thinks I don't want to spend time with him? That is so far from the truth. If it were up to me, I'd spend every single day with him.
Come to think of it, I should've probably left at 4:00 on the dot. I mean sure, I would definitely get a massive speech about the importance of being prompt. Yes, my mother is the kind of person who is never late to an occasion or event, and always obsesses over being on time. My father on the other hand, is completely carefree. To him, you get there when you get there. The important thing is that you arrive to your destination. His modo when it came to this topic is, "better late than never," which is completely true in every way possible.
As you my have noticed, my parents are complete polar opposites. Not just with this topic, but with everything. Sometimes I wonder how they even ended up together. But, like people say, "opposites attract," that must be the only possible explanation to that.
"So... uhh... when's the next time you and the lads will be going to the high school? You know, for the music video?" I asked, wondering when was the next time i'll probably see him again.
"Tuesday, if I'm not mistaken," Niall answered.
"Right, so may be we'll see each other then. " I told him.
"Yep, Tuesday, hopefully,"
"Make a left here," I informed.
"It's the blue one in the corner," I continued.
"Right," he said, pulling over in front of my destination.
"So I guess I'll be seeing you Tuesday," he said.
"Yep, see you then," I said getting out of the vehicle. I turned around and waved him goodbye. He waved back at me with a smile on his face. He didn't leave until I was already inside of my house.
"Oh hello, Elizabeth," my aunt carol greeted me, with a her signature Colgate smile.
I had expected and hoped so much that when my mom said my aunt and cousin would come visit, it would be aunt Kate with her daughter Kacy sitting on the sofa. They visited a lot more often than aunt Carol.
Don't take me wrong, I loved aunt carol. Her son on the other hand, was a piece of work. He acted as if we weren't family and was all touchy. One time, he even tried to give me a lap dance. I'm not even kidding. Although I wish i was. That was an extremely awkward and weird expirince.
"There you are!" My mom said. "I thought we agreed you'd be here at four. You arrived at 4:05. Honey, you have got to learn to be prompt," my mom said, completely overreacting. She is definitely nervous about something. Even though she overreacted this time, her speeches are usually a lot longer than this.
"Hey, Liz," some one said, hugging me from behind.
Jack.
"Jack! Hey! Nice to see you!" I said turning around and faking excitement for the two sisters sitting on the couch in the living room.
"Nice to see you, too." He said eyeing me from top to bottom. Or should I say checking me out?
I am completely disgusted. He's my cousin for crying out loud! How did no one ever even notice these kind of things when he does them?!
"I'm going upstairs to put my stuff away," I said, in attempt to get away from jack, at least for a moment.
I'll take anything I can get at this point.
