Church bells, thats what I first heard but the sight of steel bars greeted me as soon as I opened my eyes. I was tired and sore due to the events that took place the day before. I tried to move my arms and legs to discover I was bound to the ceiling and floor.
" Hey there."
I slowly looked up to see a girl with blonde hair. Her features were soft and filled of kindness. I just lowered my head and remained silent, feeling I shouldn't be in her presence.
" Hey, there's no need to say silent, this is your home now too," she said happily .
My eyes went wide and I snapped my head up, our eyes connecting.
" This is not my damn home!" I yelled disgusted with the whole idea of this place being called home. She stepped back in fear and in shock.
"Well your stuck here, like it or not. You belong to me." Said the voice that had yelled at me to stay alive. That's when I saw those green eyes, that's when I saw that boy.
"What?"
"You heard me, your mine." He said calmly and strictly. That's when I finally felt the weight of something on my neck. I looked down to see the locket hung around my neck. He was right, I was stuck here, stuck here for eternity.
"Fuck you!" I growled animal like.
"That's fine with me," He said stepping closer towards me. He roughly grabbed my face and I froze. I squeezed my eyes shut and thrashed in my chains.
"Your still part human, halfling. Your still weak and you still have fears." He said letting go of my face.
"Your still a bastard, I'm not your fucking pet! Like you said I'm still part human, I still have rights!" I yelled at him with all my being.
The blonde girl walked over to me and undid my bounds, surprising me and the green eyed boy.
" Lily, what are you.."
" No Jason, she's right, you said you would never treat my kind like this remember." She said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Shit, I'm sorry Lily. I lost control of my anger. It won't happen again," he said with regret craving into his features.
"I'm sorry," I said,"I responded harshly as well."
There was a moment of silence before Lily spoke,"I'm sorry you don't like it but this is your home now."
I looked down and sighed.
"I guess I could enjoy it right, you don't seem so bad but my being here clashes with the whole innocence this place gives off ."
Lily looked confused by my answer,
"What do you mean ?"
"Churchs don't like my kind."
Jason looked shocked by my confession .
"Your a demon halfling."
"Yeah," I said feeling like I was about to get kicked out in a few seconds for being who I was.
I looked up at Lily who I knew was angel halfling for sure because of the innocence radiating off of her. I also know for hell that her reaction wasn't what I expected, she had wrapped her arms around me.
She was hugging me, she was hugging a half demon.
"I don't care if your half demon or full, I just want to be your friend."
A hand on my shoulder also surprised me," I agree, we're a team now, and I hope we can also be friends. I'm also sorry for treating you how I did earlier." Jason said nicely and for once I felt like I wasn't alone, maybe this church can be my new home.
"Thank you and the names Alex, Alex Williamson.
