"Lily...I...I," Jason said slowly buying himself something. I waited patiently for his reply but I was excited. I wanted them to be happy and to like like each other. I knew they would bring the best in one another. I would be like their child haha their baby. I smiled to myself as Jason spoke. I could imagine us being like a big family, smiling and all.
"I think I do but I'm not quite sure,Lily"
I couldn't help but be a little sad but I knew it would take time for him to figure out his feelings.
"What are we going to do,Jason?" I said looking at the grass.
"We're going to live, we will find our home." He said calmly, I could tell he was full of hope. I really admired that, I hugged him tightly.
"We'll be okay."
"I know, we have you."
I heard him chuckle and I smiled brightly. The wind blew slightly and I could hear the clouds rumbled. Raindrops began to lightly hit my face, sending a cold soothing chill up and down my body.
"We should find so shelter."
He said while picking Alex up, putting her on his back. She was still sleeping, I put my hand on her forehead and felt her body burning up.
"Jason, she's burning up," I said worried.
"Let hurry and find some shelter. We need to get out of the rain as soon as possible.
We ran for about two hours until we found a abandoned shack. It wasn't collapsing or damage. Jason checked out the place before letting us in. There was a king size bed and a couch. There was also a tv, stove, fridge and a bathroom. We raided the cabinets and fridge. We found some cans of food and broken plates. There was nothing in the fridge. We had put Alex on the couch, who had been quite still but now she was thrashing all over. Jason and I ran to her side, Jason pinned down her arms and legs. I tried to wake her up but nothing was working.
"Alex! Alex!."
Tears were streaming down her face and she was shaking.
"I tried! I really did!" She yelled in her sleep.
"How are you even alive, Richard!" She yelled with confusion and pain.
She was talking as if she was talking to someone and they were replying back.
"I am happy rich, but how? You died." She said sobbing. All of a sudden, her body went limp. She was getting a bit cold, I barely realized what was happening.
"Jason, their trying to take her away from us! Wake her up now!" I screamed.
Jason looked at me in shock, he raised his hand up.
"I'm sorry Alex."
He slapped her. She gasped in pain and opened her eyes. Her temperature returned to normal and complexion went back to normal. The tears were streaming down her face again. I looked at her, she looked so broken at the moment. Who ever was making that illusion, they sure brought back painful memories.
Alex looked up at me with pain stricken eyes.
"He's alive but he's gone".
