MaryGrace entered her work, not thinking anything of it. Thinking it was going to be a normal day and all was right in the world. She had had a productive morning. Waking up early to get a head start on house chores and schoolwork, so that she could actually take Hazel to the park for a little over an hour until she had to clock into work.

"Hey how's it looking today?" MaryGrace asks Courtney, while tying her apron around her waist.

"Seems like it's going to be a slow day. I think they only have you on schedule." Courtney says. Playing with her nails. MaryGrace looked at the sections, and sure enough she's the only waitress. Mainly because it was a Wednesday afternoon and everybody was at work.

Which meant the possibility of going home early. Two hours in, MaryGrace stood in the back, eating a salad with the bartender Kelly. Until she was interrupted by Courtney.

"MaryGrace, Mr. Bieber is here and he is looking for you." Courtney says, poking her head into the server station.

MaryGrace scrunches her face in confusion. As well as the bartender. So she places her salad on the counter and  follows Courtney up to the front to see what was going on.

And sure enough, at the host stand, Justin Bieber.

"Hello MaryGrace, lovely to see you again" Justin says, with a shit eating grin

"Uh hi." MaryGrace says, confused, her eyebrow raised slightly.

"Do you have a second?" He asks

"I'm actually kinda busy." MaryGrace lies. She only had two tables, and was sitting in the back eating salad.

And Justin catches her lie, and turns to Courtney, "Alright, well Courtney, table for one please."

"Of course" Courtney says. She takes a wine list and a menu, and leads him to a table by the window. After a minute MaryGrace came up and pours him a glass of water.

"Hello welcome to Cosmo, I am MaryGrace, and I will be taking care of you this afternoon." MaryGrace says returning the shit eating grin. Making Justin laugh.

"Hello MaryGrace, I am multi million dollar celebrity, Justin Bieber." He says with a wink, MaryGrace playfully rolls her eyes.

"Can I get you anything started to drink?" She asks

"Waters fine" Justin says, gesturing to the glass of water in front of him.

"Alright, I'll give you a minute to look at the menu." She says and walks away to check on her other tables.

Justin watches as she charms her way to 20% tips. Humoring them, and laughing at their bad jokes as well. She was a very charming person, somebody that everybody liked.

Five minutes later, MaryGrace returned, "may I get you anything else?"

"I'll take your phone number" he says, repeating the line he used when they first met.

"Ha. Ha. Ha" she says, unamused "food wise."

"Oh, nah, I'm good" Justin says. Scrunching his face at the menu.

"Restaurant policy is that you have to order something" MaryGrace explains.

"Fine, I'll have a........ Tiramisu." He says pointing to a random item on the dessert menu.

"Good choice" the waitress says, writing it down on her notepad. It was a habit of hers to compliment the choices of her customers.

"Is it really that good?" Justin asks, his eyebrow raised.

"Not really" MaryGrace mouths, for only Justin to understand. Which made him laugh.

She then left Justin alone. His desert was delivered, but he didn't touch it. He only watched her. MaryGrace kept going back to check on him. And every time she asked "can I get you anything else?" He would reply with "You're phone number would be great" then she would roll her eyes and leave.

This went on for three days.

Each day Justin would come in around one when MaryGrace got out of class and he would sit at one of her tables, order some form of dessert and wait.

"Alright, now you're just asking for diabetes." MaryGrace says as she writes down Justin's order for another dessert. Justin chuckles. "Can I get you anything else?"

"You're phone number-"

"When are you going to give up?" MaryGrace interrupts.

"When you say no"

And the truth was that MaryGrace didn't want to say no. She actually found him really sweet. But she had a four year old to think of, and Hazel came before any guy.

"Justin, I told you I can't."

"I know I know, you have a daughter. But that doesn't mean you can't go out for one night. I'll pay for a sitter and everything" he insists, and being honest, he's never worked this hard for a women's attention before. And he's done some wack things.

It was a good offer, Mary can't remember the last time she went out. Because the last date she had been on, she ended up pregnant.

"If I say yes, will you stop?" She asks.

"Promise" he says, holding up his pinky. MaryGrace smiles and hooks hers around his.

"Fine. I will go out with you." MaryGrace says finally. Justin smiles at his success. He handed her his card. She takes it and slips it into her waiter book, right next to the picture of Hazel.

She finished the transaction, writing her number on his recipt. And She gave it back to him.

"I'll give you a call." Justin promises. Holding up the receipt and putting his jacket back on. He pushed his chair in, and left.
