'Well, today's the day.' Today is the day Newt and I leave America. Where to? I'm not too sure, and honestly, I don't care. There's just something about the strange British man that makes me feel safe, makes me feel at home, yet I've only known him for a week. Almost seems like a fairytail, meeting an attractive man, traveling the world with him, going on adventures. In a way, I suppose it is like a fairytail. After all, Newt is a wizard.
'When exactly are we supposed to leave?' I make my way to Newts room and knock, "Newt?" I slowly open the door and notice Newt happily sleeping on the twin sized mattress. I lean against the door frame and smile. 'How often does this poor man sleep?' I lightly giggle to myself as I make my way over to Newts bed side and gently shake him. "Newt?" I whisper. Newt stirs and soon wakes up. "Morning," he says with a sleepy smile. "Do you need anything?" He asks sweetly. I feel my heart skip a beat. "I was just wondering what time our ship leaves." I slightly stutter mid sentence. "8:30am." My breath catches in my throat as I stare wide-eyed at the still sleepy wizard. "Newt," I begin. "Its 8:25!" I exclaim. Newt bolts up out of bed and grabs his case. "We'll never make it! Not even if we run." I say in defeat. Newt stops and raises his eyebrows. "We don't have to run." He says with a smile. I give him a confused look. "We can't possibly walk and make it on time." Newt pulled out his wand. "We don't have to walk neither." I stare at him for a minute. "Are we going to fly?" I question. "No, we are going to apparate." I shrug my shoulders, silently asking him to explain. "Teleportation." I nod, giving him the sign that I understand what he means. "Do you mind?" He hesitantly asks, handing his case to me. I take it from him and hug the brown leather box to my chest. "Alright, now if you'll excuse me," Newt says as he wraps his now free arm around my waist. I feel a blush dust my cheeks and nose. Instantly, reality falls away and I see nothing but darkness and twisted images. It's frightening to look at but I can't seem to close my eyes or look away. My hair whips in every direction as if a strong gust of wind is repeatedly hitting my body from evey angle. I subconsciously curl up into Newts embrace and his grip tightens around my waist. Soon enough, reality returns and I spot our ship. I grab hold on Newts hand and sprint towards the giant floating vessel. The man at the end of the bridge asks for tickets, which we present to him, and we walk onto the dock breathlessly. Another man approaches Newt and I, "Can I help you two?" He says with a smile. Newt looks at him and replies, "Uh, yes. We need a room." The man nods in response. "Please, follow me."
The ship attendant leads us down several hallways with numerous doorways. He stops at one that says 'D27'. He hands Newt the key and walks away, telling us that if we needed anything, he would be around evey hour to check on the guests, and we could talk to him than. We thank him and enter the room.
There isn't too much to look at. Two small round windows, navy blue carpet, a king size bed with a blue comforter that matches the carpeting, a bathroom door in the right-hand corner, and the brain wooden door, which Newt and I had just walked through. Also, it just now occurred to me that there is only one bed. I feel pink once again dust my cheeks at the thought of sharing a bed with man who I barely know nor am I in a couple with. The act, much less the thought, would simply be indecent.
Apparently the thought also registers in Newts mind because he quickly says, "I can just sleep in my case." I look towards him. "No, please. You're the traveler I'm just your companion." Newts face slightly flushes at the word 'companion'. He replies, "Than where would you sleep? Certainly not in my case. It would put dirt on my gentlemanship if I were to allow a beautiful woman to sleep in a filthy case rather than a warm, comfortable bed." I open my mouth to protest but Newts holds up his hand. "I insist." I roll my eyes and give in, "Fine, however I will need to get in there at some point for some clothes." Newt nods and sets his case on the floor. He opens it with care, than makes his way down the wooden ladder. I follow after him.
