Sadie sighed, disappointed in her friend who had just confessed her love for.. Finn Wolfhard?
It was a shock. Especially how well Millie covered it.
That night when the two had played truth or dare, she surely thought what Millie had said was the truth.
Exactly when Sadie lied about who she liked.
Blushing, Millie wanted to cry, she knew she shouldn't like Finn.
Why did I fall for him?
"Why don't you like him?" The second she had asked, she regretted it.
"You really want me to say the things I dislike about him?"
Millie nodded, face palming herself at her own stupidity.
"I don't think we have time," Sadie looked at the bathroom clock.
"Uh, Sadie, lunch ends in 20 minutes, we just got here." Millie scratched her head.
"Exactly." She said.
Millie rolled her eyes, "I'll tell you why I like him."
Am I doing the right thing? After all, Sadie does seem pretty different now and she was obviously lying about who she liked a couple nights ago.
Millie as debating in her head.
But she just needed to say it.
"His looks,"
Sadie didn't care, "If you only like him for his looks it doesn't mean you like like him."
"No. I actually adore that annoying douche bag." Millie did agree with one thing; he was a douche bag.
He had always started drama, or his name was always being brought up in every rumor.
But for some odd reason, Millie didn't care because when it was just them, he felt different. Acted different.
"His humor,"
Sadie didn't want to be there. Hearing this made her happy for Millie; or at least that's what she thought.
"His kindness,"
"Kindness?! Where?!" Sadie looked around the bathroom.
Continuing, "His flexibility." By flexibility, she meant his ability to do sports one day and sing the next. Or, his amazing trait to adapt to bad situations.
"Oh the agony." She trailed off, looking in the mirror.
"Shut up."
Sadie kept her mouth shut and just listened now.
Millie didn't want to say it, but she had to be honest. "His wild side."
"Millie Bobby Brown!" Sadie playfully shrugged her best friend.
"What are you talking about?"
"Parties, having fun, taking risks," Millie didn't want to look Sadie in the face.
"Well you two love birds have a blast doing whatever you're doing."
"Okay then. I was thinking of inviting him to Gaten's party,"
"Too bad."
"What?"
"I already did,"
"Sadie what the-"
"I'm kidding obviously."
Was she?
Nervously giggling, Millie had to change the topic off of Finn.
"How is everything with Noah, have you two been speaking?"
Why would you ask that if you know she's lying?
"Yeah, were becoming closer. I'm thinking of inviting him too." Sadie said with a bit of a stutter.
Sadie's acting weird, I'm going to find out, but for now act normal.
"That would be great! Us four all together!"
"Millie I-"
"Yay this will be so fun! See you later tonight at Gaten's."
She blew her friend a kiss, excited for what the night was to bring.
"Yeah, sooo fun."
