"Were not going anywhere exciting, sorry babe." He smirked.
Millie was devastated for a second but being with him anywhere satisfied her.
"It's alright," she said sincerely.
They walked back to Finn's neighborhood.
He's talking me home, no biggie, but what about his dad?
Millie was scared of his dad, but she pretended not to be.
Every step they took, the house became closer.
It wasn't big, it wasn't small. Average.
Millie knew that Finn was the opposite of "average."
He was special to her.
Snapping back into reality, she tugged on his green bomber jacket.
"Finn your dad," she remarked, nervously.
"He's not home, probably at a club or something." He shrugged.
Finn turned the knob on the maroon door, chilling up his hand.
"Welcome to the Wolfhard's estate." He said professionally, smiling lifting his hands up acting as if he had just finished a magic trick.
This place looks pretty normal.
The house looked like the normal American home, she was definitely surprised.
That was until she walked into the kitchen.
Beer bottles were scattered everywhere and at least nine wine glasses were laid out on the counter half full.
Millie was used to it, it reminded her immediately of her home too.
"Sorry about this, I know it's not charmin-"
"Don't apologize, this is how my kitchen looks too."
"Want anything to drink?"
She shrugged, sort of worried.
"Non alcoholic." He said reassuring her it was safe.
"I'll just have some water,"
He opened the fridge to get her a bottle of water, and there was more drinks.
"Let's go to my room, I hate the smell of wine," he threw her the bottle from across the counter, she caught it, trailing behind him.
They walked up the creaky steps, and his room wasn't anything extraordinary, considering that when he ran away he took all of his favorite belongings.
"It's kind of plain," he frowned.
"No, don't be upset, plain is good." She smiled.
He had trophies and such, but they didn't mean anything to him.
He laid down on his bed, exhausted, holding his hands together by his stomach.
She feel back into his bed, too, putting her head onto his shoulder.
"I like your home. It's quiet and peaceful."
"Not usually."
