Persephone lies in her bed, mentally preparing herself to face the day. She sits up, rubs her eyes of dreariness, and gets out of bed, looking beside her. She sighs. Sugar still hasn't come back from her studying at the library. Normally, Persephone would have tagged along, but she has a class in twenty minutes, and she wouldn't be able to wake up in time if she had stayed out.

She had been tired last night as it was, sending Sugar off with nothing more than a "See you later," and going to bed. She had a huge French test the next day, and she had studied all night.

Now, back to the present. Persephone gets ready for the day, and leaves for her class. As she walks, she gets increasingly worried about Sugar, and calls her. Nothing.

"It's okay Persephone, it's okay. Sugar is just probably busy. She might've slept over Greg's house, and she'll call me later." She whispers to herself.

"Hey, it's me, Percy," Persephone smiles while using the nickname Sugar gave her. She continues to tell Sugar about how she's a bit worried, but she can wait. She hangs up the call, and hums to herself as she gets to class.

Amy is mad. She's pissed. Why couldn't her parents just let her do what she wanted? Now she's being sent to a town where she doesn't know anybody, with a new phone with a new number and no contacts. It's unfair! She usually gets home on time, she usually gets home safe, she doesn't see what her dads' problem was! Ugh. Either way, she has to get good grades in this new college, otherwise they would send her off to Mexico or something. So, she decides to actually try to succeed this year. Don't get her wrong, she still plans on causing some good trouble in this town.

Persephone finishes her class, feeling refreshed and ready for the rest of her day. She calls Sugar again, trying to check in. Again, nothing. Persephone starts to get worried. Sugar would have called her by now unless something went wrong. She runs back to their shared apartment, phone in hand, constantly dialing Sugar's cell and the landline. Once she gets her key into the door and bursts into the apartment, she's breathless. She's run into an empty apartment.

Persephone collapses on the spot, and puts her head in her hands. Where could Sugar even have gone? She calls, again. Nothing, again.

Persephone has yet another class in twenty minutes. She only wanted to stop back to check if Sugar was there. She gathers her things, cleans her face, and heads to the college library. Looking at her phone, she confirms that her normal class is meeting here. She slowly traverses the floor, careful of scattered books. A flash of a bright lavender catches Persephone's eyes. She glances over to a table, and there's a young woman there, looking about Persephone's age, sleeping by the class. She appears to have been studying, but she must've fallen asleep halfway through. Persephone cleans the woman's things, for she has time before the class, and leaves some notes in the textbooks. Soon, it's time for the class, and she goes away, the mysterious stranger unknowing of her presence.

Amy wakes up with a start. She'd fallen asleep while studying. Shoot, where's her pen? She looks around her, and everything she was using seems to be cleaned up. She spots a note on her top book, right next to her face.
